Bought this when the previous model didn't work right out of the box. I should have known better. This one played CDs, but asked for a password whenever I tried to play a DVD. Started calling Tech Support. In over 5 weeks of many, many phone calls, I only managed to talk to a real person twice. The first time she said tech support wasn't working that day. The next time, after many more phone calls and emails, I was told it sounded like a programming issue, but I couldn't return it because I waited too long. I had been calling since the first couple of days after I received it. They said I could send it in to be repaired and returned. They emailed me that information. I had to pay shipping to send it to them and include a check for $45 so they could send it back. They really stand behind their products.

Poor packaging and No cables or instructions. The first package looks inviting but hoping the box I find the only piece of paper on top. Then removed the paper to see that the DVD/receiver was not secure, then lifted the DVD player out to find the speakers and 2 batteries. Then also on the back of the DVD/receiver there was no Audio input plug. Plus no S video cable. What of waste of time and energy trying to find cords around town for this equipment. Unable to hook up anything because of the missing cables. So didn't hear the sound quality or get to see how the remote worked, it wasn't' there. A MANUAL WOULD OF BEEN NICE TOO.

Blue light went off in the front and it won’t turn on and speakers will not work. Flipping the power button does not help, provides a white noise only at any volume. Tried unplugging for 5 minutes. Did nothing. DVD player plays but has no sound output from the speakers at any volume.

Total fail. Instructions were inadequate for successful installation.
