amazon's thumbnail is incorrect for this kit!
The kit itself is fantastic. If you've built a Hasegawa kit you know your assembling a quality kit. with that said, most people nowadays prefer to build kits with recessed panel lines as opposed to raised ones. this kit has raised panel lines. Aside from that the kit is great. It has 2 decal options, one for sundowners which you see pictured on the box art and the other is the Jolly rogers scheme.(the one amazon's thumbnail portrays.) the kit though does not have pose able flaps, leading edge slats and ailerons. This feature is for the updated version of this kit. This one has the mentions parts molded in one as one with the wings. Which is the reason why I ordered it to begin with. Oh well, it's still a good kit. Amazon needs to update the thumbnail for this kit which I will try to bring up to Amazons attention. For the price though it's not too bad. In all fairness to the recessed/raised panel lines, either one would be incorrect for this scale on the aircraft. It's just easier to paint and construct with recessed panel lines. With raised panel lines when you put pieces together and have to sand seam lines, you run the risk of sanding away the raised panel lines in that particular area which creates more work to either re-scribe the sanded away panel lines or trying to recreate the raised panel line with stretched sprue or something similar.

Very nice kit for its size,
This is my first Hasegawa kit, but I have to say I’m impressed. Seems to be molded using newer technology, no detectable flash. Great details for its size. Thank you for using recessed panel lines! For the size of this model there are a bunch of decals. This is owing to the fact that you can build this for one of two different squadrons, the sundowners, or the Jolly Rogers. Very much looking forward to completing this kit and I will update my review once I complete the kit or any unforeseen build characteristics. Thank you for packaging the canopy sprue in a separate bag! To be advised, you will probably need a magnifying glass to read the instructions, pretty tiny text.

Good quality
My son built it by himself because the instructions were great. It didn't come with glue, so I would suggest buying some model glue to use. Even with hot glue it turned out great.

It is harder than it looks but hard work is rewarding.
This model kit can look great. It is not for entry level model makers. I rate it 3/5. Deducting :1 star for lack of detail in the visible cockpit. Eg: ejection seats and innstrument panel hoods1 star for poor fit. Eg: lots of flash and gaps in fuselage requiring putty work. Missile pallets did not line up with mounting holes.Decals are fair and settle easily with decal solvent.

Great kit
A very high quality kit, after waiting nearly a month for it to arrive I was pleasantly surprised to assemble it and it was definitely worth the wait. The kit over all was well fitting and I had no problems assembling. The only downsides I would see are the lack of inset panel lines and maybe the lack of details for the pilots. But I would definitely recommend this kit to anyone into scale modeling
