White Glass Bell Shade - Lipless with 1-5/8-Inch Fitter Opening

I ordered these lamp globes (although they're obviously not "globes") to replace the ones that came with my new bathroom light. The originals that came with the light were almost clear, and thus too bright, and one was cracked. So I was naturally a little uncertain about ordering these - they looked good on Amazon, but would they arrive damaged?They did not. I ordered 4. Each one was packed separately, in a plastic bag between two pieces of perfect-fitting Styrofoam, and then boxed and sealed. The 4 boxes were packed in a carton, with paper stuffed into the loose spaces.They look great in my new bathroom. I bought a set of "light socket shade rings" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0B8Z49YM9) to attach them with, instead of the weak mounts that came with the light. I put 60W LED warm/white bulbs in, and it's perfect.

We all have 'em - those cheap floor lampstands we buy from Ikea or Wayfair to add lighting to our kids' bed or college rooms. Sometimes we repurpose them. Over time, though, the plastic shade gets brittle and cracks. Especially if, before LED lighting, you used too hot of a bulb. I added two of these globes to different stands, and I am happy. The glass is quality - reasonably thick and translucent white. I found it a cheaper alternative than replacing the whole stand, or exposing the bare bulb.

UPDATE: I am changing my review to 4 stars. The company replaced the defective unit promptly!At first I wrote:We ordered two of these, but one came in a box that had obviously been opened previously. The second one is deformed and will not stay in the fixture, no matter how hard we try. Evidently some else previously had the same issue and they returned it, before it got sold to us. We are asking that the company to make good on their one year guarantee.

Packed well and as described! Very heavy glass - which is good news/bad news: Should be durable however my little lamp arms can't hold the heavy glass up at an angle. The arms must either be stright up in the air or pointed down. Which I am fine with since I do like this lamp as 5 bulbs make it nice and bright for my work space and the replacement shades means I can still use it. The original plastic shades on my lamp had 2 burnt shades from bulbs that got too hot. With glass shades this won't happen!

I bought these to replace shades in my master suite. I bought 12 of them for 2 light fixtures and a ceiling fan. They turned out beautiful, made my rooms look whiter. I appreciated being able to replace the shades rather than spend a lot of money on new fixtures and a ceiling fan.

love it sooooooooo much, its beautiful. its a bit wide for the fixture i was going to put it on but once i get the piece to hang it up i will certainly hang it with pleasure. also the fixture i was gonna put it on was a kind of weird one so that's probably why it didn't fit.
