2017 Silverado 5.3
I wanted this filter to get rid of intake whistle after installing a Borla muffler. (Pro XS, 3 inch out all the way to new tip). Removed the resonator. This worked perfectly. Truck was not having to suck as hard through the more free flowing filter. With Superchips tuner, AFE filter, and Borla muffler, my truck is completely different now. Sounds deep and mellow and is much more responsive, no unnecessary shifting, and way less hesitation. I can not speak to how it effects gas mileage because it’s too new and I keep my foot in it now.. but I have only lost about .5-1 mpg so far and idk what all to attribute to the filter alone can the tuner and the muffler. Again, I highly recommend all of them.

I have an 08 sierra 1500 5. 3L, ...
I have an 08 sierra 1500 5.3L, leveled with bigger tires and an mbrp cat back exhaust system. before I was getting 17.5 mpg average. half in town and half rural highway of 55 mph. I got a cold air intake system from another company, and it actually dropped my mpg to 16.5. I put my stock air system back in and ordered this afe pro dry cause I don't want to do the oiling thing anymore. reset my avg mpg meter before work the next morning, when I got to work my avg mpg was 19.2. really. on a leveled truck with bigger tires. I don't hot rod my truck either. drive it and let her shift around 2000 rpm, which gives plenty of acceleration.

Big change 2018 Yukon Denali 6.2
Installed in my 2018 Yukon Denali 6.2. Did not expect a huge change, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Easy install - except for poor access design of stock airbox. Noticeable improvement in off idle and part throttle. BIG improvement in full throttle. Very happy. Good option for vehicles that don’t like aftermarket air intakes.

Nice that it’s reusable but didn’t notice any other changes vs factory filter
I’ve always been and still am a big fan of these filters however in the past I’ve used them in my jeep wranglers and noticed a more responsive throttle and a better sound vs oem. On my 15 Tahoe however I haven’t noticed any of that. There is definitely the benefit of it being reusable so overtime it will pay for itself but that is the only benefit I would tell people to expect from this upgrade on a Tahoe.

Pricey but worth it!!
I had a cheap "k&n style" filter and after using it you could see pores where the element had separated. I bought this and when you hold it it feels like quality. Have been using it for a while now and the element is holding up like a champ

I guess it is doing the trick, great filter and brand!
Really it's hard to rate this kind of product .... I wanted a bit better airflow and started looking at the main filter which is K&N ... found that those are an oiled filter and the oil could cause issue in vehicles and most are not aware of it. I put this my 2011 GMC Sierra 4x4 and I think it is helping. Haven't seen any gains really in any aspect or MPG ... but to get the most out of in intake you need to thing about running a Modular Intake Tube and a Tuner if possible. But I am glad I decided to go with a dry filter over an oiled filter or the K&N brand that most people just buy since they know the name brand and don't look into much more then that! The MIT is coming next with a tuner next year so I will be getting the max airflow out of my intake once that all is completed ... but the Filter is the first start and this should be a great filter that will last me MANY years to come.Nice knowing I don't have to purchase and air filter again for the next decade or more!!!Cleaning this is VERY easy as well ... and once again no oil involved so you don;t have to worry about over oiling and messing up your MAF sensor.

Great Reuseable filter.
I put this on my 2012 Silverado 5.3L LT. It works great to far. Hasnt increased gas mileage, but I rather this than a paper filter. I love that you can take it out and clean it and just reuse it. I went with this over K and N because it doesnt have any Oil on it. OIl filters can screw up your engine and sensors. I will be using this filter until I cant wash it anymore or it breaks.

Great Filter.
I would love to believe my brain and think that this helped me get an extra mpg, or perhaps even gives me a little more horsepower, but it probably does not. That's not to say this is a bad investment, I personally was sold after reading that you can reuse this after cleaning it. Additionally, unlike other models, this does not require the use of oil, which I personally could never bring myself to use on an automobile with a maf sensor.
