what is the maximum thickness you can apply

I put was planning on applying a think layer of Stone Grip on my terra catta tiles in my frond yard, years ago. I noticed if I put a think layer, the tiles looked slightly cloudy. Not to bad but I wanted the burnt Orange to look bold. The thin grip has held up for several years now. Probably time to add another layer soon.

Can this product be used in cold weather for outside ceramic stairs?

It cant be applied when freezing...I doubt it prevents ice. It will prevent slick surfaces normally.
