Nice and Worth the money for stroage problem
Nice and Worth the money for stroage problem. Thanks to the Seller for the prompt delivery and well packing of the product. I had a bit problem in the drive detection in my pc as i am currently using windows xp, the problem was solved with the drive detection tool from WD site. Had to format it to NTFS patition to detect in my os. Will have to check again after windows 10 upgrade...it seems that will have to go through the same problem in win 10, as it wont recognise the ntfs partition of xp i guess...well lets see what comes up. Anyways Thanks to WD, Amazon and Seller for providing this awesome product.Update: No issues found with win 10. The partition in win 10 is same as of win xp...ntfs.Thanks.

The cost per TB is good but not great for the price
The cost per TB is good but not great for the price.Remember if one fault occurs in the hardware, you loose entire 8TB.Its 8TB for 18K -> 2.25K/TB, unless this cost comes around 2K/TB I would rather prefer to buy 4*2TB HDDs as relative failure to price is much better. My inputs come after buying multiple (7+ WD HDD from Amazon) and believe it portability is not as easy for a 8TB drive and hence you will hit both portability as well reliability especially in case of WD/Seagate.
