Must buy
Great expantion, the characters are awesome (rocket is fine) and the masterminds are challenging and fun. Some schemes twist the mechanics in a innovative way. 10/10

We are Venom
This set is probably one of my favorite (if not my favorite) small box expansions. Aside from Venom Rocket there is basically no fat. Venom & Carnage are both great and a lot of fun for me. Venom strange is a great beater. Venompool is weird, but I've found great success with him as well. Both of the MM are great here. Hybrid can be challenging and is a fun match up. Poison Thanos is tough but very beatable. Both villain groups are annoying in a good way. The schemes from this set are a lot of fun for me also. I highly recommend this set.

Adds a ton of fun in a small box
My son and I wanted to try this expansion because Venom is a cool character and the Symbiote keyword sounded like it could be a neat twist. We tried out a couple of heroes, a villain, and a scheme from this mini expansion, and we had a ton of fun while utterly destroying the mastermind. Even after only playing with about half of the new cards, I highly recommend this expansion. The rest of the cards also look pretty cool, and we can't wait to try them out, but at this point the expansion is already worth the price and playing the rest of it will just be a bonus.

A fun small box expansion
Here we are with another small box expansion. Here are some thoughts:Heroes-Only Carnage is a brand new character in this set, the other four are new versions that appeared in previous sets. Overall a good group, though Rocket sadly falls behind the pack.Venom: Much more fun than the old Venom set from Villains (though Villains as a set is a better, if more expensive, addition to your collection), this Venom specializes in versatile cards. Strong, especially partnered with other versatile heroes.Carnage: Card draw set that shifts when more cards are in the victory pile. Very strong support hero..Venompool: This is the third variation of Deadpool, but if you are like me and did not buy the Deadpool expansion, it's kind of nice to have this one as the core Deadpool is sort of a dud. This one is very bystander focused and a fun mid-level set with lots of personality.Venomized Doctor Strange: Ranged heavy set with card draw. This is third Doctor Strange set and probably the best one. Very strong, especially with range heavy heroes like Iceman.Venomized Rocket Raccoon: Weird choice here, but one I would have welcomed had the set been better. Pretty weak stuff here that doesn't go with much, though it does kind of match the one from the Guardians expansion. Meant to be reactive to master strikes and ambushes. Pretty good rare though.Enemies and SchemesHere is where this expansion falls a bit short. Hybrid and Poison Thanos are the masterminds. Thanos was better in the Guardians set; here he does almost the same thing with less life and without the infinity gem proviso. Hybrid is symbiotic bond-focused mastermind. Thanos is mid-difficult while Hybrid is intermediate. Both have epic options which is a nice feature they all expansions are doing now. The villain sets are life foundation and poison heroes, neither of which are particularly exciting thematically. The schemes are good; I felt three were pretty strong and one (Paralyzing Venom) was rather generic.MechanicsDigest and indigestion are essentially timing mechanisms that shift the focus of your cards later in the game, often from recruitment to attack. Not a bad concept, but nothing revolutionary either.Symbiotic bonding is a new villain feature, and in conjunction with other villain sets, I liked how this feature played out. Thematically it works well, with symbiotes bonding to henchmen and other villains, augmenting them and changing up the flow. Note that this does not come into effect as well in solo play, as there will usually be only one villain group.Final thoughtsThe art for the hero cards is very good for this set, particularly Venom, Carnage and Strange, though the art for the villains is not. The Life foundation symbiotes should have looked much better. The poison heroes look alright. If you are big Venom/Spidey universe fan, then Venom and Carnage with great art alongside solid alternates for Deadpool and Strange are probably worth a buy. If you are indifferent to all that, this is a skippable expansion for sure. Here is my small box ranking of the expansions I currently own:1. Fantastic Four (Silver Surfer, Fantastic Four, Galactus, Mole Man)2. Guardians Of The Galaxy (all the Guardians, Thanos, Infinity Gems, artifacts)3. Ant Man (Ant Man, Wasp, Wonder Man, Ultron)4. Paint The Town Red (black suit Spidey, Spider Woman, Moon Knight, Mysterio)5. Venom (fun Venom, Carnage, fun Deadpool)6. Captain America 75 (Winter Soldier!)

An underrated expansion
For some reason this expansions gets ranked in the lower half for a lot of people, but I think it's a hit from top to bottom. The heroes, villains, masterminds, and schemes are all great. Most importantly, everything here works well with every other box and expansion, which isn't always the case with these (F4 work best together, characters that use shards work best together, etc). This is an awesome plug-and-play set.

Venom verse takes the spotlight
Finally venom gets his well awaited expansion. The characters are part of the venomverse and they work really well together. The art is amazing as usual and the masterminds are entertain to fight against. Well worth the buy if you like Venom.
