Is this the old 2 inch handle or new 3 inch handle length?

Omnivos is in the process of switching the Otto 128 to a 3” / 7.6cm handle. At the time I am writing this (Sep 6, 2022) the change from 2” to 3” is almost complete and there are only a few of the 2” handles available for sale. You can order directly from our website to ensure that you receive the 3” handle. By Oct 2022 all 128’s should be 3” handles at Amazon. Sorry for the uncertainty, Amazon has not given easy way for us to easily differentiate this for you.

I see medical grade tuning forks for about 1/4 the price. Can you explain why your is more costly?

There is no such thing as medical grade tuning forks. That is a made up term by other manufacturers to add authenticity to their products. True, doctors do use tuning forks but there is no "standard" for the medical or scientific community. If you are looking for purity of aluminum without possibly toxic metals then the industry standard is the Reynolds Aluminum Engineering Study which all reputable manufacturer's adhere by. Unfortunately there are companies from Asia who claim to follow to the Reynolds standard but do not. Omnivos does follow those standards and for that that reason many doctors will choose our tuning forks. Consider this, the manufacturers you are referring to manage to make a "high quality" product and ship it to the US all for 1/4 the price as the US manufacturers. How do you use or where do you place the Ohm weighted tuning fork and the Otto 128 on the body at the same time? What are the benefits?

Instructions/how to use the 128 For using the 128 Tuners with bones and ligament, hold the forks by the stem and gently tap them on your knee. With the finger or thumb of your free hand locate the spot on the body where you want to place the tuning fork. Press the end of the stem of the tuning fork onto the spot. Make a firm contact and hold the tuning fork until you feel the vibrations stop. For listening, hold the 128 Otto Tuner by the stem and gently tap the weights on your knees or tapping pad. Bring the tuning fork(s) to your ears and adjust the distance by tone. Hold one fork about an inch from your left ear and one an inch from to the right ear. This creates a long sustained pitch. This works well with the 128 Otto. When tapping the 128 gently tap the body (the weighted portion) of the tuning fork on your palm. This will set the weights in motion and create a pure tone.

How often in a day and how much is it recommended to use this?

Hello, the person who responded is partially correct. The 128hz promotes the release of nitric oxide in the blood which helps to reduce inflammation. That in turn leads to a healthier body. There is no point in using the tuning fork on the same spot more than once or twice because the nitric oxide has been activated. You can certainty place it on the same spot later say after 20-30 minutes if you working on something specific like arthritis. Definitely stay away from breaks, fractures or recent surgery mainly because the vibration can be painful in that area but you can use the fork elsewhere to promote healthy blood flow to that area. There is no harm to using tuning forks more than once a day. I usually recommend 2-3 times a day if there is something specific you are addressing. The most important thing is to be consistent. The best results come when you stay on a steady schedule. Results may come quickly or may take months. Very soothing and pleasant sound frequency.

I purchased both the 136.1 HZ Earth and the 128 HZ. C. This is my first time using a tuning fork. They seem like good quality. The tone seems to last an adequate amount of time, so no complaints there. I'm enjoying placing them on various points on my body and head. I originally bought both of these at the same time to decide which one I resonate with more. I was going to gift the one I liked least. However, I can't make up my mind which I like better. They both feel like nourishing frequencies. I am enjoying both of their vibrational qualities on my body at the same time and independently. So, with that said, I won't be gifting the second one as I would now miss it. That's how quickly I have become attached to them. I feel like they are complimentary to each other. I also purchased a 528 HZ unweighted. I am waiting for that one to arrive. That frequency is supposed to repair DNA. I don't know anything about that. Anyhow, I didn't purchase these forks for any "magical" effects. I purchased them because I suffer from anxiety and want to try ANYTHING to help in a natural way. When I focus on the sound frequency it truly does help me calm down, I can feel it's calming effects and that is truly good enough for me. I tried it on my 9 year old dog and he seemed to enjoy it too. He sat there and seemed to relax more. I tried it on my parrot as well and I can't tell what she was thinking. I don't think it had any effect on her. It looked like she just wanted to nibble on it. The only thing that I would have additionally enjoyed with this purchase would have been a rubber mallet to strike the forks with. I chose these forks over others because of all the positive reviews. The forks can be activated on one's palm of hand, knee or side of leg. That's okay and it works. I'll have to go check out YouTube videos for more information on tuning forks and healing. These guys feel very soothing and have a Pleasant sound frequency that you will enjoy no matter what. I plan on taking mine to events too, good way to introduce oneself. LOL.

After months of various efforts to determine the source of excruciating pain in my foot, I asked a chiropractor about alternatives to x-rays. He mentioned tuning forks. I then asked an osteopath her opinion of this method and discovered that this is actually a recognized diagnostic technique.A few hours of surfing made it clear that this particular 128 Hz fork is the preferred frequency for testing. There are rather a large number of technical papers and explanations online, many of which rely on the tuning fork in conjunction with a stethoscope.However, the chiropractor told me that if there were a fracture, the sound would go through the break and cause a lot of pain. Amazon has a lot of options for the 128 Hz fork but I chose this as a sort of midway compromise between the very inexpensive forks and the insanely priced ones.The fork was shipped promptly and arrived the night before my appointment with a cranio-sacral therapist. We tried the fork initially on tissues deemed to be normal, and then she experimented with a number of different techniques, including putting one hand under the foot and holding the tuning fork with the other. This resulted in a significant increase in sensitivity in the part of the foot with the most swelling.Since the injury is probably partially healed by now, various herbal poultices and bandages having been used for months, the pain was not as sharp as the chiropractor led me to believe might happen, but I feel this instrument is interesting and probably useful. It looks extremely well made and has a nice carrying bag, aquamarine in color. I loaned the tuning fork to my therapist to show to the martial arts school and will post more if she comes up with interesting feedback.For those who are buying forks for other purposes, I have no comments since I am not using this for tuning instruments, but for the record, 128 Hz is a low C, middle C being 512.

Mmmm nice forks

This is a wonderful tuning fork. It holds vibration well and for a fair amount of time. I use this often before bed for grounding. Comes with a pouch and is a favorite. Not the highest quality, but very adequate for the price .
