ordered for my personal use for YouTube videos and professional photography videography. I was using a monopod cum tripod from 5 6 years and it was heavy and the quality was not fine. smoothness was not there. ofcourse this one is a bit costly but its worth every penny. versatile tripod it is. convers to monopod, does over the top shoots. gets to good heigh and to very low height as well. build quality is as good as it can get at this price point. overall highly satisfied

Got this tripod for my RX 100 series camera. Rx100 series cameras are small cameras and weigh 300gms, so please keep this in mind while reading the rest of my review. I mean, heavier cameras + large lenses with this tripod can lead to completely different experiences.The tripod itself looks durable and well built, and comes with accessories to convert it into a monopod/Top view arm tripod.Reduced one star because the arm doesnt make a perfect 90 degree angle with stand/Isn't very parallel to ground, even without any camera/weight on the ball head. And this tripod didn't come with a manual. I recommend getting this tripod from prime seller 'GadgetZone2019' who has good ratings, I did the mistake getting the tripod from another seller.But apart from that:On opening the parcel, I got a branded digitek cardboard box with the tripod, a small extension arm, a screw-bolt to convert tripod to monopod, a small extension rod and a screw-remover to tighten the legs, which won't be usually needed. And a neat good quality carrying bag to carry the tripod in. (The bag quality was good, but had some cut damage- Another reason I recommend buying from the most highly rated seller available).The tripod itself is tall enough for most uses. It goes as tall as 6.2FT fully extended, without any extension rod. The extension rod adds a couple of inches, too. Though this tripod will occupy a lot of space - A LOT - if all legs are fully opened and stretched - Making use of this tripod in small rooms very hard.The tripod comes with a metal build quick release plate attached on the top of the ball head - Not sure if this is standard size, so please ensure you don't lose it since doing that will make your tripod unusable. I dont see digitek selling them separately.The tripod has a fluid head in two places - one below ball head and another at base of horizontal arm - which you can use for panning. Tilting for photos is great, but for videos, it is almost impossible with this tripod, since ball head isn't exactly designed for that. Though you can get a pan and tilt head separately and attach with this same tripod for shooting videos.The horizontal arm on this tripod is really good and can be used for tabletop shooting, making cooking videos etc. I couldn't find another horizontal arm tripod in this price range, and this tripod happens to be so sturdily built that you don't need to think twice before getting this.The tripod legs can be locked at three angles, but happens with help of plastic assembly. Good quality plastic, but still gets me to doubt what happens if one of the locking switches break. Sturdily built, nevertheless.All inbuilt extensions can be extended by rotating clockwise to lock and anticlockwise to unlock. This gives unlimited flexibility on the extension of legs, making it suitable for say extending two legs halfway to place on bed and one on ground, fully extended. I save myself some room by doing that.I tried hitting the tripod from quite a few angles to see if it falls for my setup, and I request you to do that too, just to ensure that the tripod doesn't fall off and damage my camera. After ensuring my setup is stable and checking the tripod legs for full lock, I mount my small point and shoot.Overall, its a great beginner tripod with a hefty but worth-it price tag. If you have an expensive camera, you wouldn't want a 3K tripod ruin your capabilities, right? Get this one and you won't regret. Being able to use a tripod as a tripod, monopod as well as a horizontal arm over-the-table tripod, can't get better than this.

Perfect tripod

I initially purchased Digitek DTR-450 LT. That one is good but not meant for bigger cameras. The legs were hollow, majority of it was made of plastic and was not stable at all in windy outdoor conditions. It was good for indoor use with mobile phones.This tripod addresses all those problems and a lot more. DIGITEK DTR-500 BH has a definite heft to it, which is necessary for stability under windy conditions with heavy equipment. Even without the centre column extended and the camera mounted, it reached my height (168 cms) and I could use the viewfinder without stooping. Most of it is made of metal including the mounting plate, and wherever plastic is used, it is of very high quality. The end of the legs have both pointed metallic tips for use on soft grassy/muddy ground and rubber tips for use indoors on tiles/marbles. You can toggle between them by rotating the end piece. Every gear, every knob is buttery smooth. You have a detachable monopod as well!! The bag provided with it is of good quality with generous padding. There's also a velvety pouch with drawstring for the ball to prevent dust getting it. There's a hook at the bottom of the centre column to attach weight to increase its stability.I believe this is a complete tripod for any photographer. For videography, even though the planning is smooth, there's no handle or lever to adjust the pan. But the ball head is removable, so you can attach a fluid head on it, or any other type of head as per requirement. Definitely, value for money and highly recommended.

Worth for money

This tripod is good according to price but there is one issue, it's ball joint which controls horizontal motion cracks easily. Tried in 2 tripods and same thing happened. I am using this tripod even after the crack and it's working fine. So either take this and use with care or go for higher budget tripods.

I was using Van*****(well-known premium brand) tripod and it still works. I needed one more tripod for another angle (usage for top down food shot). In fact specifically, I was looking for C-stand and got it. It's heavy and has counterbalance hooks(¿) using this for indoor/studio shoots. Though it's not flexible to carry in backpack I was looking for something similar to C-Stand usage, STURDY and FLEXIBILITY for backpack bag. These features are available in the premium brand with 3x or 4x more price.I was hesitant about the build quality of this product initially.I have ordered this product was not sure about the quality and stability. It's delivered and I am using it for last few days for the top down food shooting. It's FLEXIBILE in terms of folding and it can be used as Monopod, quality of the frame, neck and ball heads are worth for the price. The head be angled to vertical or horizontal based on your POV angle. It fits in my travel backpack and using multi-purpose.

Quality is very bad, tripod keep getting broken from different parts, dont buy
