Easy to install
Came with a tool to remove. No instructions but very simple to install. Just 2 screws holding the tach and 2 screws that hold the bracket. Holds phone great and adds a custom touch to my mini

Excellent Stability!
I was looking for a good while for a phone folder on my mini. No other addon had worked since my air vents are too weak to hold a holder and the windshield sticking attachments took up waaaaay too much space. This was perfect! It was just a little tough to screw it onto the back of my tachometer, but it work marvelously and never falters or falls. Great build quality.Highly suggested!

Great little product!
Bought for my daughter. She just bought an 09 cooper S as her first car. Picked this up as a stocking stuffer. Pretty easy to install. Just use the provided tool, rubber grommets, and screws. Took about 10 minutes or so. Seemed very secure and held an IPhone 15. Daughter was happy with it too!

Not great.
* Edited again*Today's adventure in why you should skip this product- less than 6 months in (3 months of actually being able to use it) and the tiny little screw that holds the phone mount to the connection bracket has stripped out. I've had to resecure it with epoxy to get it to hold again.Okay design. Poor quality.*Edited to reflect my experience with iJDM and the holder for a 2009 MINI Cooper.*iJDM's customer service has been pretty bad. The nut that holds the phone mount broke after about one month. I contacted them for a replacement, which they initially sent, but the nut was too large for the holder. Since then I've been given the run-around all the while having a useless phone mount behind my steering wheel. The design is okay, but I won't buy another iJDM product. Not a bad design but it could use some tweaks. The wingnut on the back hits the dash, so I've positioned mine a bit lower than I would have so that it doesn't damage the dash cover. The tightening nut broke about a month and a half in. They are sending a new one, I'll probably see if I can't get one made from a less brittle plastic (Library has a 3D scanner and printer). Mine came with the little stand-off nuts to compensate for the curve of the tach body, but no MINI decal.Update... the nut they sent is too big. Now they are giving me a hard time about getting the right size nut. It's a good idea, the positioning of your phone is pretty good here but it doesn't seem to be the most robust product available.

It's okay... Phone either obstructs the view or the vent.
No installations instructions, so it took much longer than it should have. Needs to be modified to clear the dash in a 2014 Mini Countryman (R60). The arm is straight, but the AC vent gets in the way of your phone when using this mount. Bend the arm so it clears the vent. Your phone will either obstruct your AC vent or your view. There isn't really an in-between option. Wish the Offroam mount I had for my Jeep would fit in the Mini! That was far superior. But this is better than nothing...

Great mount! Looks almost factory and works like it should.
Everything you need to install is included. Screws are a bit tricky to get out and back in place. I use it with a Galaxy Note and it grips and holds in both landscape and portrait positions. My wife wanted one for her Kia. SMH!

Does not work for R56 as is- must be bent, then it works.
I got this sucker to work and took a lot of photos of my adventure to hopefully help others. You will need to adapt this piece to fit the R56. My car is a 2012 Mini Cooper Justa.THE PROBLEM: The tachometer of the R56 mini is curved. The arm that needs to attach to the back is straight.THE SOLUTION: I attached it to my work bench at the first screw and gently tapped it with a hammer until it started to bend. shift it further down in the clamp. Tap tap tap. Shift down. Tap tap tap.Photos:1. You get an arm, union jack clamp, 3 screws (you only use 2), and a two ended screwdriver.2. Use the long end of the driver to take out the two screws at the base of the tachometer. Save these. You will replace the same screws at the end. Slide the tachometer forward.3. Remove the top (12 o'clock) and left (9 o'clock) screws on the back of the tachometer. You will not use these again.4. See how the arm is straight and how it's never going to work without a much larger screw or some creative bending.5. Bend it like Beckham6. Admire your work. it now can reach both screws.7. Screw it in. See how it's still a little Gappy? good enough for me.No picture but I then slid it back, re-attached the two base screws.8. Nice. Final look.
