Skins Paperback – January 1, 2010

Love it so much. Such a good read especially if you love skins

The novel is set in the 4 weeks of summer of August 2009 in between series 3 and 4. So basically this novel is a bridge between those two seasons and shows how the generation 2 characters spent their summer. It's mostly about Effy, with the Naomily storyline taking center stage as well. The novel is actually diary entries of all the characters and is a delight to read. Anyone who has questions about season 4 will be pleased to read this and have some of their queries answered. Like, "What happened to Effy?" or "What open day is Naomi talking about?" At least, those were the questions I had watching series 4. This novel is a good buy for all true Skins fans, and you will not regret spending a couple dollars (or pounds, wherever you are) over this.

I thought this novel well portrayed the characters and their depth from the t.v. series and I've even re-read it a few times because it's a light and enjoyable book. Some people argue that it jumps from character to character too much (because you know...t.v. shows NEVER do that) or that the characters don't match up with their on-screen personalities, but I think it stays true to the series (they still sleep around, get drunk on a number of occasions and dabble in recreational drugs... what more can we expect?). I've recommended it to people who've never heard of the show and they've enjoyed it as well.

Could have been better but was still enjoyable. I wish there was more Freffy and less Aldo/Effy.

As a huge fan of the show I knew I had to get the book. Although I am from the US, I came across the show online and was HOOKED. The book is amazing. I felt like I was watching the show when reading it! I am not the "novel reading" type, however this book really had me hooked. I highly recommend if you're looking for a good dramatic read!!! I also loved the fast shipping!!

I was shocked at how accurate the characters personalities were to the show. The author seemed to really understand the characters. If you watch series 4 after or as you read the novel, you can really see all the connections. The novel is a bit heavy on Effy and Naomily but I'm still loving it. It arrived on time and in great condition.

I bought this because the show was so good. This book tells you the little things that happened between breaks. It's amazing. A must read for fans of this particular season of Skins(UK).

I'm from Mexico so I was a little anxious about the shipping and it was supposed to arrive between june 28 and july 29 and it arrived today (july 5) so I'm very pleased because it arrived in perfect conditions and on time and it was all legal so I'm definately trusting them and amazon.com again for future purchases, I recomend you people from other countries to try it.Thank you
