Great gun for the money
Finishing a credenza for my daughter, and being a professional commercial painter in my former life (I'm retired) I knew how to use a HVLP gun. Although my 1st time using a gravity feed cup, it exceeded my expectations. I used a thinned oil base semi-gloss and top coated with a gloss poly urethane. Both products were easy to apply. With material and pressure adjustments, I achieved the fan and finish I was looking for. The regulator that was included with the kit is a piece of junk and I didn't use it....or need it. I made all air adjustments at the gun. For the money, a great tool. I cannot speak for the longevity of the gun but using it several days in a row and then again a week later, no hiccups. I did however clean the equipment throughly after every use. That is the ticket to a hassle free operation of the Equipment .

Great value!
Ok, first of all I am NOT a professional painter. I am a hobbyist in the process of rebuilding my Jeep CJ7. I needed a decent spray gun to prime the Jeep in preparation for the pros at the paint shop (trying to save a little cash by doing the prep work).I did some research and found that I needed a spray gun with a 1.8 tip (for the thicker primer). This gun caught my eye as it came with a metal (as opposed to plastic) cup and a regulator for a great price. The gun arrived as advertised and was well packaged, with easy to understand instructions.Overall, after using it to prime the Jeep, I was very impressed with the quality of the finish. It has the standard adjustable spray with knob, air volume knob and paint flow knob. The weight is well balanced and felt comfortable during the painting. The finish was even and consistent (remember that this was a prime coat). Again, I am not a pro painter, but this little beauty is a well built, quality gun for a great price (I paid $39.95 + shipping). Very satisfied!

It's getting the job done for a newbie
I didn't have any prior experience with HVLP sprayers, but I am doing a cabinet refacing in our kitchen and had a lot of doors and drawers to paint. The price on this gun seemed pretty good, and reviews were decent, so I gave it a shot.So far it has worked out pretty well. I've painted around 40-50 doors with it and the gun has performed better than I have. I'm still learning how to get it dialed in correctly for the best finish, but that reflects more on my skills than on the gun itself. I do seem to be getting better at it.Cleaning it isn't too bad. I've had a high pressure sprayer in the past and I remember it being a pain in the neck. This one you can remove a few components with the supplied wrench, then it rinses out with water pretty easy. The only thing I have had trouble with is I can't remove the main brass fitting that the nozzle screws in to. It is TIGHT! I tried using the supplied hex wrench and I felt like I was going to break something before I could get it to crack loose. Fortunately, it doesn't seem to hinder cleaning to leave it in place, so I haven't worked too hard at removing it yet.I did pick up a couple different sized nozzles to go with it, because it seems like a lot of times when you buy a tool like this then come back later to get accessories, they no longer exist. Haven't used anything but the 1.8 yet. I have been spraying latex, thinned about 20%.The only complaints are:1. The regulator got screwed up and a part ended up breaking. I don't know if I turned it too far or it jammed or what, but it suddenly stopped regulating and started leaking like crazy. I fiddled with it for a while and ended up breaking a plastic piece in the knob, then it REALLY got messed up. Fortunately, I have a 3D printer, and I was able to print a replacement part and get it working again.2. The interior of the aluminum paint cup is the perfect surface for bonding to primer! The first time I poured in primer, it stuck to the walls of the cup and now appears permanently bonded. Maybe some steel wool or scotchbrite would take it off, I haven't tried. It doesn't seem to affect anything so not a big deal. It's just kind of annoying that it stains so easily. Not sure if a smoother finish would help. For you fellow noobies out there, be sure to get a line drier. Maybe a couple. I have two installed now because I was still getting water drips out the end with just one. I live in Colorado where it's fairly dry and have never had a moisture problem in my hose until I started spraying. Now it's crazy wet. First attempt was a mess with big drips landing on the MDF and raising the grain ruining the finish. It can't be too dry!I'm happy with my purchase. I'm almost done with the cabinets, and really my goal was just to have a gun that would get me through that project. The fact that it still seems to be going strong and will get more use in the future is a bonus.Dinging one star for the regulator that caused some grief, otherwise it would probably be a 5.

Much better than the freight tool store
In case you are trying to compare this gun with the HF offerings, I have their HVLP gun costing about 30 dollars more than this one. There is no comparison in performance between the two. This TCP Global gun comes with a regulator to attach directly to the gun, which honestly I didn't think I would like, but it works great and is not in the way.The spray pattern and atomization achieved with the TCP gun is far superior also. Most of what I spray is shellac, varnish and lacquer, but occasionally will spray oil based paint. The light coatings are a pleasure to spray, and cover evenly and quickly without orange peel or runs.I'm sure there are better guns, but for this price point, I would buy this one again in a heart beat.

Find the proper settings for your fluid!
This is my 3rd Aeropro (TCP GLOBAL) gun that I bought and use. I have a 1.3mm, 2.5mm, and now this 1.4mm.All work very well. This one, the 1.4mm sprays down the base very well. In order to minimize any orange peel you just need to be a little further away from the panel and move fairly quickly across it as well. I'm spraying at 2 bar. Product I'm spraying is Valspar auto paint. I can honestly say that these guns work very well for the price you pay. Good results come from good technique. The guns spray just fine. If you are having issues, practice more with finding the right settings for what YOU are spraying with. All materials sprayed need to have their own settings. There is no Universal one setting works for everything. Different thickness, different consistency requires you to find the best air flow /fluid flow settings.

It works for automotive
I was not expecting much for this price. My old gun was too far gone and caked too much so thought this would do for a budget job on my old Audi. Actually I am amazed at its performance. So far I tested it out on using automotive paint on an antique fridge, spraying Ford Ranger white. So far so good so I went ahead and used it for the front end bumper cover and hood on my 2011 metallic grey Audi. It came out great! I can spray and refreshed watching many YouTube videos.
