Truly exceptional, a fundamental for selling
Would give 10 starsI was Looking exactly for a book like this - lays out the fundamentals in a scientific and actionable way to get started as soon as possibleI’ve read many books on sales, all good but this one is the best for the very reason it gets down to fundamentals you need for sales and gives the exact and direct ways to do it, where and whenNot like other good sales books that give you advice and techniques on what to do,But don’t lay it out exactly how to do it.

Great book.
I’m still teaching myself the art of sales as I am just starting out and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn more about sales.

Great book and we'll written.
What i always struggle with when it comes to books like this is how clinical they can be. This book, however, was beautifully written for how i absorb information. The tone kept me engaged, and this information was pretty straightforward to understand. The area of sales is work in is completely different from the type of sales I feel this was originally targeted for. However, it is easily adaptable to retail sales, too. Since reading this, my sales have drastically improved.

No nonsense professional sales book
FIRSTLY, the people who gave this book a 1 or 2 * review simply don’t understand sales and are no doubt unsuccessful individuals!!SECONDLY, I have bought tons of sales/business books over the past 20 years and nearly always learn something new from everyone of them!BUT, with this book I learned a LOT of great, proven sales ideas, that really work! Jordan has been there and done it, very successfully (baring his unethical period) and demonstrating here what a world class salesman he is.Search him on YouTube to watch him doing a live presentation of his Straight Line selling strategy, how he uses tonality over the phone, to gain prospective clients interest, it really is an eye opener.I’d say he is in the same league as Grant Cardone (whom my son and I will have the opportunity to meet at a business conference in London in May 2018!!). I’d also recommended his book ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ it’s a great insight into the real Jordon Belfort and what he really went through, it’s a miracle he’s still alive to bring us such a great sales book!!

An essential book for sales professionals
Belfort gives readers extensive insight and extremely practical detailed examples on his “Straight Line Selling” method to which I find an eye opener as someone who has worked in sales for 3 years now. I bought this 1.5 years ago and I still keep revisiting some chapters such as ‘Looping’ and the ‘The Three Tens’ to improve my sales process. I would highly recommend it to all junior and senior sales professionals.

Some novel ideas but still geared towards the stereotypical high pressure wall street type
I was somewhat reserved in ourchasing this book... I didn't want to perpetuate the success of a questionable character and line his pockets via my credulous behaviour and desire to improve my sales game. But I couldnt hate this book. There are a few useful tips in here that you won't necessarily find in other sales books..Of course large parts of the book are nothing unconventionl. Tonality, body language, customer targetting etc. The first bit I found quite interesting was centered around NLP and olfactory state management where belfort suggests using a nasal spray called bang bang to give yourself a physical refresh and get yourself into the right state. It all sounds a bit out there but I do believe state management is important to sales and getting yourself in the right mindset and the right momement and on demand is a very powerful thing. I think this is actually decent and effective advice. The main focus of the book is Jordans 'Straight line method' - which includes 'looping' and 'future pacing'. He assures you this is a bullet proof process where you will close anyone who is closable... hmmm. There are some useful turns of phrase that can be extrapolated, and I like the idea of how he uses an objection to 'loop' back into the sale enabling you to continue with the process and focus on 'selling' another part of the product or service and increase certainty in an area he calls the 3 tens. (1) your product and service (2) your company (3) you. Aagain, inbetween the fluff there are a few things you can take and use but overall I found thes straight line methoda little difficult to digest.Again this book has something to offer, but for me, doesnt come close to the utility of books like - SPIN selling, SNAP selling, New sales Simplified, Exactly how to sell , the Psychology of selling which i think all offer a more in depth and applicable approach to sales

Simplicy is key
Just started reading this, however very impressed with how the book breaks down the phycological determining factors that govern out decision making. The importance of belief and trust are key factors and we are lucky if we have both.Definitely eager to read on....

Good book. Wise advice.
The wisdom here is applicable for almost anyone in almost any selling industry, or any industry where some selling is involved. This guy is a master of selling psychology, even if he has been previously a bit of a swine.
