Very helpful
I bought this for a special needs kitten (SugarCheddar) at 6 weeks old. He had several eye infections and I used antibiotic eye ointment which cleared it up, but by then he had fallen behind in growth and was much smaller than his litter mate brother (SpiceBarry). I figured that the infection had sapped his calories and kept him from growing as much. But then I noticed that he wasn't walking very well and wasn't developing like his brother. It reminded me of a toddler with cerebral palsy.I had some tuna juice on my fingers from feeding it to his mother (Sunflower) and SugarCheddar tasted it and went crazy trying to bite my finger. So I got him an eye dropper full of tuna-water and he was so hungry that I realized that he was starving. Apparently, his developmental problems, mostly low muscle tone and jerky movements were preventing him from nursing adequately and he wasn't able to get enough nutrition from his mom, Sunflower.I had to get him something to eat fast, so I looked up solutions on the Net. There was a cat infant formula on some of the sites which involved mixing evaporated milk with a whole egg, Pedialyte, and baby vitamins but I was uncomfortable with the raw egg since raw eggs are loaded with bacteria, and I didn't have any Pedialyte or baby vitamins. So I just diluted some evaporated milk a little and fed that to him.All I had was an eye dropper and I thought he was going to bite the tip off, he was so hungry. He couldn't control his head movements very well, so I wrapped him in a towel and stabilized his head with my hand while using the eye dropper to feed him. After he was finally fed enough to be happy and full, I got on Amazon and found this product. I had it immediately shipped out along with the "PetAg® Complete Nursing Kits & Replacement Nipples for Small Animals" and "KMR® Powder for Kittens & Cats, 12oz". I kept him on the evaporated milk until the KMR liquid came in - he likes it a lot more and is eating even better now with the KMR liquid.SugarCheddar is bright, inquisitive, happy, and in no pain. He loves his Mom and his brother -- and his humans. I'm hoping that once he has a few weeks of growth and exercise his muscles will get stronger and that he will be able to overcome his lack of coordination so that he'll be able to develop more normally. His mom and the other cats love this stuff too -- if they get a chance they'll lick the cup where I warm his milk. I haven't tried the dry powder formula yet - the single can I bought lasts several days with just a single small kitten to feed.My only concerns are the price and the fact that it is in a pull-tab can. It would have been much easier it they'd packed it in a bottle with a lid. And it is a bit expensive. Hopefully, the powder will work just as well -- I'll review it when I use it.

Way too expensive for a small can of milk
It's like a carnation can of milk for that kind of money, nope

Liquid...
I don't know why I assumed it was powdered formula like for a baby but it's liquid and it's fabulous.I used the syringe.I found a 3 week old kitten outside. And as soon as I open the can she jumped inside of the can..haahaaa....she's sleeping now.
