My very old Mantis 4 cycle tiller wasn't working due to split fuel lines and disintegrated primer bulb. I considered the battery powered tillers but decided I'd rather drag a power cord around than having to constantly keep batteries on a charger. I was also guessing this tiller with 15 amp electric capacity would have more torque than a battery operated tiller. So far I've only tested it on very hard packed decomposed granite and it takes time but it can dig it up. Hoping now to till several hundred square feet of the DG and then till in top soil to make a new planting area.I've now replaced the Mantis parts, runs great again, and it will make a good backup to the electric tiller if/when it fails me.
