Hello, The soy sauce is slightly thicker than light soy sauce. But not as dark as dark soy sauce. The umami flavor is very robust and it's not salty as most soy sauce in the market today.

Q: My bottle came without a protective seal. Is this typical?

Yeah, kinda. With the bottle, once You twisted the cap off you should’ve heard a slight “crack” sound thus breaking the “seal”. At least that’s how mine was. Mine didn’t have any shrink wrap plastic over the cap and no seal on the bottle opening after you twisted off the cap. I hope this helped.

Hello, No need to be refrigerated after opening. Just close the bottle cap tightly and store in the pantry for future use.
