I ordered two of these cables in order for my tb4 dock to drive two external monitors and it now works like a charm.Though I did receive one cable that was defective and caused strange display artifacts and output instability. These cables are pretty complicated and any defects will cause major issues.

In my use of desktop USB-C hubs, I've learned that cables really matter. Some of my USB-C video cables work with my windows notebook and not my Chromebook. With other cables, it's the opposite. But with this Thunderbolt-certified cable, it just works. I plug my computer to the hub, and the video signal successfully routes back to my monitor. Seriously, Thunderbolt is the way to go and the certification to look for.
