The best fan, quiet and little space taken
We have 3 of these fans! They are quiet, plenty of air speed options, and no movement to knock over things or get in the way. They put out a tremendous amount of air which is so surprising. They have a remote which is nice and this model was still around 5 years later when I needed one for another room, which speaks volumes for a well made product. Cord length is a little short but not a big deal.

Marriage healer
My husband loves to sleep with the fan on, but I don’t - uh oh! We got this fan as a compromise & I’m very happy with it. It’s effective for airflow but has a quiet setting- which I love & can sleep in peace! The look is sleek and high end. The size fits easily in small spaces with big power. We also love how the light on the fan can be turned off and that it comes with a remote!

Excellent fan
Works great,I love all the different speeds. It was easy to assemble and it has a very wide range of oscillation, it really has a wide sweep and it is sturdy when it reaches the end of the sweeps, no weird sounds come from it. It is quite tall but also lightweight so you can put it on top if things if needed.

The CrankyConsumer says. . .
I purchased this fan in spring and have used it extensively over the summer. I am very pleased with the fan overall. It is quiet (with one caveat), has more features than I thought I’d use, and was relatively inexpensive. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the fan vibrates on some of the settings and as it operates this causes some noises that appear to be coming from the trim. If I apply pressure to the outside housing of the fan the sound goes away. Not a deal-killer, but it is a flaw. The fan is advertised as quiet (which it certainly is), but the noise from the trim detracts from the overall quietness.I do really like the remote, timer, the display on the top of the fan, and the variety of settings. It is very stable and moves a good amount of air. It has an appealing appearance, although I am trying to think of what I can use the space under the fan body and above the base for.

Fabulous Fan
I love this fan! We have been living through 100+ degree days, and while we do have air conditioning, I need help. My elderly parents want the temp set about 75. I, however, need it about 70 due to my heart issues. This fan nearly freezes me out of my bedroom sometimes, and I love it. I'm sleeping better, and that helps my health. It's quiet, although it can provide white noise if I need it to.I recommend this fan.Oh, and the price is incredible!

Quiet and efficient
Our upstairs is hot with no ceiling fans. Since it is a rental, these fans are a lifesaver and I have one in every room. Loved them so much I have 4 of them and after daily use for 2 years they are still working great.

3 Replacements, All With problems
Another Edit:I have since got another fan from another company called "Dreo", which are right here on Amazon. Now that fan was quiet. Way more quiet then any of these Quietset fans I got.. the first or the replacements. So my suggestion, skip honeywell and go look at the Dreo tower fans. Much better.**Update to My Original Review that is below**So I changed my star Rating for the fan from 2 Stars Down to 1. Honeywell, as a company, has been good at sending replacements and working with me, however, they can't seem to get me a model of this fan that actually works as it should. The first replacement had a loud buzz to it, the second replacent had a bad rumble to it, and now the third replacement, which I received today, is quieter, however in 3 out of the 8 modes available, there is this big vibrating rumble you can feel in the floor, and hear. Very Annoying. The motor is still loud even in sleep mode, although this is the first one I can almost deal with the noise the motor makes.Do yourself a favor -- skip this fan.A good warranty is good, but its useless if the model sucks so bad that everytime they send you one it has a problem with it.** End of Edit **Short / Quick version:Pros: Looks great, Slim, lightweight, Remote Control responds well, a decent amount of air, easy to put together, Honeywell has awesome (if not slow) customer service!Cons: -- Dealbreaker for me: Annoying motor noise cancels out any quietness you get -- the questionable build quality of base you put togetherLong Version:I ordered this fan due to recommendations for it on almost every page I looked up fans on. I was looking for a quiet and cool setting to watch tv with it and to sleep with a quieter fan. I had an older Honeywell tower fan which is awesome, minus the top panel stopped working and you have to use the remote, it's still useful to this day. It was just noisy, and I lost a lot of features with that top panel of buttons not working. So I figured it's time for an upgrade, and with all those recommendations and the luck I had with this other Honeywell I have had for many many years, I got this fan.- The initial hookup and impression -After receiving one fan that was broken, I got this one and it seemed in good shape. I set it up, which was easy. The base is a little worrisome on build quality, but if you are careful snapping it together, it shouldn't be an issue. Then I plugged it in and turned it on. This was when the disappointment started.- Quiet (Or not?) -The sleep mode had very little air noise. Great. However, there is this annoying vibration motor buzzing noise that makes up for it. All I heard was BUUUZUUZUZUUZUZUZUZUZUUUUZUZUZUZUZUZU (yeah, like that). It drove me nuts. I'd rather have a noisy tower fan with lots of air noise. I turned it up to level 5, (which is called Relax), which is what I consider the first "power setting" and it sounded more like a normal fan then. However, after a few seconds, it starts this weird vibration noise again. THUMTHUMTHUMTHUMTHUM but make it like x100 faster than how you can say it with your mouth. Not as annoying, but still annoying. If I were to squeeze the fan with my hands, the noise would stop, which to me suggests a problem with something loose or a design issue with handling vibrations from the motor. I contacted Amazon, being annoyed because this was my second fan, and was graciously given a refund.- Feedback to Honeywell -Being very disappointed, I contacted Honeywell and conveyed my disappointment with this product. They responded by asking me a few questions and then to my surprise sent me a new one, no charge or anything. I have now received yet another one of these Fans, and guess what. IT STILL DOES THE SAME THING! So this has to be a design issue, or I'm the unluckiest person in the world when it comes to fans.Is it useful? Sure. Is it worthy of being called a Quietset? Not in my eyes. It may make less air noise than many other fans, but that motor vibration buzz sound is just too much for me.I can't say if this would be as annoying to you other customers or not, but it's definitely not as quiet as I was led to believe.- Performance and Design -The power is pretty good. People say it's weak, but in my moderate-sized bedroom, I think it does pretty well. If it wasn't for that noise, it would be perfect for me. The design itself though is pretty well done. It looks nice, and it's very skinny and lightweight. The LED on top isn't that bad, you can turn it way down via the button on the control panel and I didn't find it intrusive at night at all.So overall, if I could do it again, I wouldn't purchase this fan. It's just not worth it, especially for the price. The annoying vibration motor noise is just too much. So since I have it, I will make use of it in the noisy times of my residence in the noisiest of areas or at least with a lot of traffice, but for what I was looking for in my bedroom, it looks like I will have to look elsewhere.

Not a good as article said
It certainly isn't quiet. If you keep it on the lowest setting, then it's quiet, but anything higher, you can hear it pretty good. Also, it doesn't cool the size room that the article noted. In fact, I find my oscillating fan cools the room much better than this fan.Using the highest setting -- Very Cool, does not yield a cooler room.I'm using in a 150 square foot bedroom and don't notice a huge difference.
