Well-written. Good pacing. Interesting characters.Can’t wait to see what happens next.Definitely worth a look if you are a fan of LitRPG.

As above a page turner, given the skill baker he desperately wanted on age day max thought nothing could go wrong, how wrong was he as he was given a rare second skill that would make him hunted by man and gods, consume a black system skill that basically cheats the system into young max getting more skills from those he kills, he won't level up but buckle up for action, plus lots of mystery.Oh and he bakes a dam good orange and coffee cupcake.

I was a bit skeptical about this at first but turned it to be a good read. The story benefits greatly from tried and tested litrpg approaches without being too heavy on the RPG side.Story and progression is great yet I feel the transition in the character behaviour and approach changed perhaps too quickly from what the character displayed previously.Also while I don't want romance for romance sake, the flirting and then total back off seemed a bit teasing with no delivery.Overall though I would recommend the book. The main character does use their head a lot and it's great to see they aren't continually making the same mistakes over and over like some others do.

I really enjoyed the pace of the novel. The main character is likable, and I am looking forward to the next installment.

Good book. Unusual system. Everyone gets a skill but MC gets two and one is a banned 'black' skill. He gets no xp but can consume stats of those he kills. ND is sympathetic and other characters are likable.

This was a real page-turner and I would love to meet these characters again. The pace was relentless, the details were very clear.

Wasn’t sure at first but turned out to be a cracking book. Had me hooked til the end. Hopefully there’s a book 2?

Well written with fun characters and a great balance of story and action at a fast flowing pace that never lets you find time to put it down from cover to cover
