There are many reasons to give this less than 5 stars if you are comparing it to other (more expensive) ebikes. But if you understand what you are getting into - this ebike delivers great value. This is a budget bike, so if you are looking for something with power, nice parts, and durability then look elsewhere. If you are looking for a descent, reasonably priced bike for a first-time ebike rider - then this could be the ebike for you.The aesthetic of this bike is actually really cool. It looks great. I got this for my wife and she loves the way it looks (we got the white one). It was packaged well and came completely intact with no damage. If you have absolutely no experience with bikes it could be worth it to have some assemble it for you. I am pretty comfortable around bikes and had it ready to ride in less than an hour.The major parts of the bike are pretty basic, regular mechanical disc brakes (as opposed to hydraulic), basic tires (lots of people say they wear out fast). The shifter is basic but works well. The seat is actually comfy though we will be upgrading. It has front suspension but no rear suspension. The display is actually color and intuitive though the speed is wrong (it shows about 3-4 mph faster than it is actually going - I tested this with gps and another bike). Some people say they can get to 23-25 mph - I would say it's much closer to 18-20 mph at top speed. I believe it has a cadence sensor rather than a torque sensor - so it takes a bit to get use to the initial burst of speed when you start pedaling. My wife adapted to this pretty quickly. It has a descent head light, brake light, and horn (I wish my bike had a horn - its a nice feature). The back rack is sturdy and here in the Pacific Northwest the fenders are a must. Some other versions of this bike have a spring seat post - I opted for this version (with a normal seat post) and glad I did - my wife has the seat about as low as it will go - this allows her to comfortably put her feet on the ground while on the seat.My wife has put about 60 miles on it so far (mostly paved bike paths and some gravel). It has performed like a champ. Great battery life - we have taken two rides that were 20+ miles (after each ride she was still at 50-75% battery life). I would imagine you could confidently get 50-60 miles on a single charge if you stay in pedal assist 1-3 (this gets you to about 10-15 mph).For the price - I think this bike is a great deal. Even if the tires wear quickly those are easy and inexpensive to replace. If you are just doing fun joy rides the mechanical brakes are fine. The actual ride is very comfortable (you sit more strait up) and smooth. I would highly recommend for a first time ebike rider looking to explore ebiking without spending a fortune.

I received the bike on April 28 two days ahead of schedule.It took about 30 minutes to unpack due to the excellent packaging. It took me a couple of hours to assemble it, but I was in no hurry. Anyone who said that they assembled it in half an hour must be joking.The paint quality and welds on the frame are excellent. All the necessary tools and fasteners were included.The battery came half charged.The only issue I had was getting the front fender aligned properly. This took some adjustment of the fasteners on the left and right side of the fork.I put about 20 miles on the bike since I received it. Everything works very well. No adjustment required on the brakes.LED screen is bright and has very good information. The headlamp is bright and easy to adjust. The rear tail lamp comes on when you apply either one or both of the brakes and is very bright.The front shock absorber on the fork can be set to be stiff or can be activated. Once activated it really smooths out the ride quite well.I looked at other electric bikes at two local bicycle shops and none of them had the features this one does. They were priced at over $2600!Because of the quality and price of this bike, it is an excellent value!I am very pleased with the purchase and highly recommend this bike.UPDATEThe instructions don’t give details on how to use the display so email VE and they will send detailed instructions for the display.

We purchased 2 bikes a few weeks ago. We love them. Not hard to assemble and has a video. The bikes had everything we were looking for. We took them to a state park and also took a ferry over to an Island with lots of hills made it up with ease. We get about 35 miles on a full charge (leaving us with like 1-2 bars ) Great bike. Only complaint was my husbands chain came off twice while trying to change gears.

Everything I wanted in an electric bike. It's nothing but fun. It took me an hour to go from box to completed bike test ride. After a seat height and handle bar adjustment for my comfort and the best control, my wife and I when for a long ride to play a local Disc Golf course. Later I went on a night ride through my neighborhood and the lights on the bike look great. It is nice that the bike is so easy to select the PAS levels 1-5 and the throttle, brakes, and gear shift are easy to operate... Oh did I mention that the battery came fully charged. Anyway, I pushed the bike on level 5 and got it to 24.5 MPH. I'm 6 foot and 180lb male in my 70's

I am really loving this bike. I took it out for a spin for the first time yesterday and I am really impressed with how powerful it is. I zipped all around town in no time. If you have not assembled an e-bike before you will need a qualified bike mechanic to assemble. Only downside is the brakes are a little slow and that takes a little getting used to. I still give it 5 stars because overall it is great value and works beautifully!

The media could not be loaded. Awesome e-bike. Very easy to assemble, followed video step by step. Bike ride is smooth and simple, easy controls, color screen, various PAS levels, including full electric cruising. Front and rear lights, bright and clear. Should have years of fun.

I received this bike in 5 days, it was very well packaged, and protected with no shipping damage at all, I unwrapped it laid out the parts and followed the very clear step by step instructions, and by myself, assembled the bike in about an hour and 10 mins. I then powered up the bike and took it for a test ride, worked perfectly, lot's of get up and go, easy to read and understand screen, bright readable LED. Have to say very pleased and hey .....a lot of fun and looks great!I feel like it was an excellent buy.
