This LED/Rechargeable headlamp is well-designed, sturdy, easy to recharge and extremely bright. The headband is comfortable and adjusts easily. The multiple settings on the light are easy to use and useful. As I said before, this light is extremely bright on the highest setting. The red LED lights are nice for being able to see and maintain your night vision. The flood light setting has two levels and works very well for neighborhood walks with my dog. The 6-LED lights are bright, with 5 levels of brightness and reach a great distance on the highest setting. The unit is a little heavy for a head lamp, but if you’re not wearing it for long periods of time you will not mind the weight. It’s great for working on equipment and keeping your hands free.

If you're looking for a headlamp that's versatile and not super bulky, this is the one. I like the different modes and brightness levels, and the battery life is acceptable considering the size of the battery. I know it's not the most affordable option, but based on my experience with others, this one is worth the investment.I've tried different brands/models such as the Energizer lamp that uses disposable batteries (while camping), in addition to another headlamp that has the separate battery pack that is on the back of the head strap. The Energizer is cheap material and not bright enough be a "one size fits all" kind of product. The other was just too bulky/heavy for me to be a huge fan of, and the battery life really wasn't that great with the larger battery.

This light suprised me, its not big and bulky. Its impressive light weight. Fits hard hat perfectly. The ratching to move it up and down works really nice. Brightness is as advertized. Im liking ease to go full turbo mode with one click or back to normal. Battery seems last long as nitecore make good batteries!* I really most impressed how this seems to have a long throw spot at same time giving you flood lighting also. Nice design!

Arguably the best headlamp I've owned. Extremely high quality, especially for the price point. I've spent way more on headlamps of lesser quality. I knew this was a good one, when they shared the technical data sheet, as most headlamp cos don't. I'd say the best application would be mechanic use, construction, home projects etc. Although great for camping and hiking, it's definitely on the heavy side. That said, it's surprisingly comfortable, so the weight doesn't cause fatigue; however, those concerned with minimizing weight for long distance hikes may pay special attention to the weight. In my opinion, I'd sacrifice the extra weight for this amazing headlamp. I won't be buying another headlamp from anyone else. Extremely satisfied and impressed with this.

Lamp works great and I paired it with the optional battery thingy and that works well. However I strongly doubt the 2k claim. I have a 1k lamp that's actually brighter, a lot brighter. Battery life is great, even without extra battery hooked up.

I don't want to jinx myself, but my first use was biking through the woods in the dark and I could see as well as a car with a high beam light on. There was a straight stretch of trail for about ¼ mile with a sign at the end and I could see all the way to the sign and beyond. The ride was about 70 mins and the brightness was amazing the entire time,so I didn't really notice a significant reduction in lumens. Unless something changes, I would definitely recommend this light. The weight is so low that I'm sure they could add another battery to the single battery a d somehow make it better than it already is. I'm very happy with it thus far.
