4.5 stars out of 5 for a competent open standards based system.
Main points:1. Standards based. Very easy to configure and administer.2. Very good sound volume and clarity.3. Proving to be more reliable than the Panasonic system it is replacing.Purchased this unit to replace a Panasonic KX-TGP550 SIP DECT system, which was having some connectivity issues with Phonepower, but not Callcentric through Sonicwall security appliance.Panasonic has better buttons and overall ergonomics. Sound clarity, Panasonic has a slight edge. However, Yealink has a huge advantage in adjustable handset volume over the Panasonic handsets. The Yealink handsets volume should not be an issue at all. It can be low to what I considered loud without resorting to speakerphone. On the Panasonic, the handset volume is limited and presents some drawbacks for whose hearing is not as sensitive. After the change, even with IPS (Intrusion Prevention) enabled on the Sonicwall, the Yealink unit has no issues with Phonepower, whereas the Panasonic unit will fail on registrations or experience 1-way audio. Callcentric was never an issue with either phone system. The Yealink system is limited to 5 total cordless handsets (which means, you can only add 4 additional handsets) linked to the base. The Panasonic allowed 6 additional cordless handsets on top of the traditional corded handset on the base unit.Yealink base unit web interface can be easily accessed, administered and configured. It is leaps and bounds ahead of the Panasonic. The Panasonic, on the other hand, cannot be accessed remotely, unless web interface is enabled through physical interaction on the phone system itself for up to a maximum of 24 hours.Upgrading firmware is simple and clear on the Yealink. Firmware is easily located on Yealink's website, unlike the Panasonic. Upgrading the firmware on the Yealink base unit is done through the web interface. The Yealink cordless handset firmware can be upgraded through a USB interface, connected directly to the computer.

My office phone.
I have this phone in my office and it serves its purpose wonderfully. The only reason why I knocked a star off of it is because the battery is very poor. Since I do use it in my office I am using it quite frequently and I find myself having to keep charging it at all times because the low battery symbol will pop up before you know it. It was fairly easy to hook up the VOIP network we have in the office and I was using it in no time. The call quality is 4 out of 5. It is clear on both ends but the volume can be rather low sometimes, not sure why it is low on some calls and not others but that's just the way it goes with the phone. You can use an external headset for this if you are so inclined to use one. (I don't)I would recommend it, just make sure you know the battery issues before hand.

Great cordless IP phone for the price! Works VERY well with Vonage Business service.
Great phone for the price! I use Vonage Business (the best) for our internal office IP telephone system and I already had a Polycom VVX300 desk phone, BUT living in Costa Rica makes it really hard to sit inside working in the office all day. I needed something for cordless IP that would ring simultaneously with my desk extension. This phone worked PERFECTLY! A lot of the reviews say it's cheap and falling apart, but I have had no such bad luck with it. I will admit you can tell the plastic isn't quite as solid as a Panasonic, Cisco or Polycom, but I mean come on...for like less then $100 for a cordless IP phone, you can't argue with that. Great phone and great value if you want something that is quality but don't need the Taj Mahal haha. The fact that I can now work outside, wirelessly and the calls are clear is well worth the money. Has decent range too. I talk on it at the edge of my fence at the front gate all the time.

Totally misleading via truly falsified adverting - Worst support experience imaginable.
Product is marginally workable though the buttons are too small and the feedback is clunky. Beyond this DO NOT EVER EXPECT to have a decent support experience. They will ignore you if you have a complaint then pick up a thread if its been getting too much action in the forums and will write some worthless excuse about why they advertise something different than what they sell. Word for the wise DO NOT and I mean DO NOT buy this device if you want to put custom images on the background. The image they have in all the adds (sunflower) is not an option on this phone. Your only options are a blueish colored theme and a black n white theme. No pictures. No ability to add picture. I was told by support they only have that ability in a developers version that will not become available to the public. Thus if you though you would be able to buy this and customize it with your corporate logo... Keep looking this is not the phone for you. Additionally, the quality feels flimsy and buttons too small to be very productive. Notice this horrendous thread of supposed support. http://forum.yealink.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2232
