Great Piece of Kit
I have had an old set of Dell PC Speakers (2 speakers plus a sub-woofer) for many many years. They were quite well made and had an adequate sound (volume and quality) from my computer - mainly listening to Spotify. However they stated to fail with increasing noise, static and fading volume - it may be just a dirty volume control but I was not sure so I had been looking for a replacement for some time, but nothing really looked like what I wanted - everything these days looks quite cheap and plasticy. However I also had a pair of Wharfdale Diamond 2 speakers from my old (no longer used) stereo system. These are actually relatively small but high quality speakers so I decided that a better strategy might be to deploy these speakers with a (physically) small amplifier and came across this Fosi device.I left this in my basket for a long time as well but finally got it on an Amazon discount week making it much more reasonably priced.I was not sure what to expect as I had used the speakers before with a traditional large Pioneer traditional (and large) stereo amplifier. This device is tiny - much smaller than I expected - the power brick is about twice the size of the amplifier! The photos show that the connections at the rear fill the panel.I also bought some banana plugs for the speaker cable (some quality QED flat twin and 3.5mm jack to phono cable and connected it all together.I really am impressed with the quality of the sound output with these speakers. I have had the volume at the maximum setting and it was really clean and clear, with a decent frequency range (using the Realtek graphic equalizer application) and minimal distortion, so I am pleased with the outcome and it reuses my speakers that had been in the loft for yearsIn terms of the amplifier, it doesn't get hot even when running at high-output for long periods of time. It's quite well made - a reasonable level of perceived quality. I had one trivial issue that the volume knob fell off but it just needed the grub screw tightening a little more. I think the the power switch seems a little lightweight and could have been a little more robust looking but these are minor nitpicking issuesReally happy so far.

Great value amp but not perfect
So I managed to pick up a pair of nice speakers off facebook for £20 - nobody wants big hifi speakers any more. Bought this amp taking the gamble that is cheap amp, cheap speakers. It paid off.The sound quality will be mostly determined by your speakers, but I was very impressed. Compared to your expensive bluetooth speakers this is simply on a totally different level. Really punchy, tight lows, detailed mids and crystaline high end.Cons: It's not 100w RMS, it's probably about 50w RMS, but that's absolutely fine with me. The volume nob sends noise through the speakers when you turn it, but again I can live with that.Pros: It'll drive big hifi speakers and sound decent.Summary: For the right application it's absolutely superb. For me, this was a great purchase. If I can find another pair of cheap bookshelf speakers I'll probably buy another one for my laptop.

Fantastic Little Amp
I was surprised at the small size, I was expecting something slightly bigger, the sound is clear and has good bass/mids/treble. It's alarmingly powerful, I have tested it through a set of vintage Warfedales as well as some more modern wharfedales and a few other sets of speakers. My reason for buying it was because i needed an amp to play those speakers I mentioned as previously I was sending a signal directly to them from an audio interface for reference, in my home studio. I am very satisfied with this little amp. Well worth the price I paid.

Excellent little amp, great value for money.
Excellent little amp. Am using it to drive a couple of old Jamo Sonic speakers (long term power: 50W, short term power, 105W, 8Ω impedance) via an audio interface attached to my laptop. Bought a couple of banana connectors to make connecting the cables easier, but connecting bare wire to the binding posts on the amp unit actually turned out to be easier than trying to get the screws to fit in the connectors. I had wondered whether the amp would have enough ooomph to get sufficient loudness out of the speakers - happy to report that it got louder than I'd dare listen to music at well before reaching maximum volume. No noticeable distortion within normal listening range. If you're only going to be using one input then it's a no-brainer, especially for £40.
