I've been a Wahl guy for years, but I think their range has got cheaper and clunkier as it has got more expensive.This isn't a pretty shaver, very utilitarian, but it seems robust and the bare blade cuts hair back to that "almost bald but not shiny" level that I like that Wahl shavers don't quite get down to. Three guards are provided – stubble, couple of days' growth, week's growth – so less useful if you're maintaining a longer style of beard or head hair.Small trimming blade but that's quite handy if, like me, you have a knobbly head. Takes no longer to shave my head than the Wahl did because you miss less tufts on the first pass. The smaller head is also useful for intimate trimming, but always use a guard if you don't want to nick your boys – there are other better, safer options if you're wanting no hair at all, but for a tidy up or quick landscaping, this shaver is ideal.
