Lighter Flints Pack of 100 Universal Flint Refills Compatible with Zippo and Clipper Lighters Bottle Packing

I inherited many of my Dads old Zippo lighters and although I don’t smoke, I decided to restore them to their former glory. That meant that I had to find a non-piezo-electric ignition source, aka an old fashion flint. As with most shopping endeavors, I immediately came to Amazon, did a little research and ended up with this great little container of flints. In general, their job is to make sparks and that they most certainly do. They are easily installed and unlike some flints (according to my dad’s coaching many years in the past, some flints wear more quickly than others), they seem very durable. I know I’ve test struck a couple of these flints no less than 500 times and they appear no worse for wear after 500 strikes as they did with 10.I’m still buffing and polishing the lighter cases proper but they are coming along. I’ll update this review with some pictures of a finished product that incorporates these little “makers of spark”

Strike well and fit and thats about it, lol! Can’t think of anything else needed to be said…

These light well, and last about as long as a regular Zippo flint. I see no difference in lightability or longevity with these versus Zippo brand flints.They fit pretty well in Zippos, although each flint is on average 0.25mm "taller" than branded Zippo flint, which means you might need to not tighten the flint screw as much with these.The biggest downside I can see is that they leave a lot more flint "dust" than Zippo flints. I just finished my 2nd of these flints, and I have had to clean flint dust out of my lighter case at least 3 times since I switched. I went through a whole 6 Zippo flints from my purchase prior to this and only cleaned it out once. Not a huge deal for me, but just something to be aware of.For the price though, these can't be beat.

Will not work in zippo, thay are very hard. Update these are good Flints. Hard peace stuck in striker and thought it was the flint to blame.
