Great collection of the three movies. They look and sound great!

So, I admit that these movies are a guilty pleasure. I went to see them in the theater and I became a Jamie Dornan fan and started crushing on Dakota Johnson. Escapist fantasy with an adult twist, artfully depicted, and a terrific soundtrack (I've bought all of the albums, so yeah - there's that).But why buy this bundle? The extra footage adds a few fairly minor things. It was fun (still is fun) to go back and watch the films and try to figure out exactly what was added back into the theatrical release. Is it world shaking stuff? No. That's probably why it was removed for time. It didn't anything unique but reinforced what was there. And it makes the escapist part of the films last a little longer.If you're going to buy these films, I do recommend this version over the previous theatrical releases. It's worth the little bit extra costwise and adds a little something extra. Is it worth buying these if you already own the original release? Probably not, unless you're a really big fan and you just want to play the game of watching for the new material. But I would absolutely go with this version if you're just buying these films for the first time.

I've enjoyed the movies, with very well-done sensual scenes. I had been curious for years about the trilogy, and couldn't pass up this great deal for all 3. So far, I've ordered TWO of the 3-DVD sets, and have had to return both (#2 is going to the UPS store tomorrow to be returned). UNFORTUNATELY, although Disc #1 ("Fifty Shades of Grey") and Disc #3 ("Fifty Shades Freed") play JUST FINE all the way through, for SOME INEXPLICABLE REASON, Disc #2 ("Fifty Shades Darker") frequently "freezes" during playback (the character(s) in a scene will stop moving/talking), and when playback starts up again, it will often have skipped ahead to a few seconds later in the scene, often missing dialogue as well. It's VERY WEIRD, and annoying. I'm going to give it one more chance. I would have contemplated just keeping the second set IF one of the OTHER discs would have had issues, ordering a third set, and then combining the good discs from both into ONE GOOD SET, but the SAME set is having issues. I even tried playing the "Theatrical Release" version of the 2nd movie as well as the "Unrated version". The screen indicates that playback may not function as well in the "unrated version," apparently due to the features that SOME DVD players have over others, but it made NO DIFFERENCE--BOTH the Theatrical and the Unrated FROZE up. VERY FRUSTRATING. I AM wondering if the CHEAPNESS of this trilogy has something to do with it ($8 plus tax, free shipping because I have Amazon Prime...). I will REORDER this trilogy again in a couple of days, once I know Amazon has received it and credited my Amazon account. I'm HOPING that the NEXT one will play perfectly....ALL THREE DISCS (it would SUCK if in the next DVD set I get, more than the 2nd disc has these playback issues...ugh! VERY FRUSTRATING!!!
