The media could not be loaded. I have wanted a wildlife camera for years, as I am lucky enough to have a field beside my home. But it was only recently I decided to take the plunge as a birthday gift to myself.It arrived quickly, I was very excited so just got it straight out of the box to have a look. There is a small easy set up guide which you don't really need, because the menu system is easy to understand.I popped 8 AA batteries in, set up the wifi aspect, and went straight out and connected it to a fence post. I popped some bits of chicken out to tempt the local foxes and ta daaaa! Within minutes, fantastic footage :) Early morning deer, late night fox patrolling - and even my own cat lol!You can adjust the detection rate, quality of the footage, length of each capture, do photos or videos - fabulous!The App you download is simple to use too, the camera once in range of your phone downloads the images and you can view, delete, etc as you choose.It also came with a 32GB mini sim card, so you can just get on really quickly.Oh, I should say it also comes with a couple of cables for upload, a strap to tie on to a tree, etc and you can see the back of the waterproof box the camera is in has 'teeth' to grip when you are putting it in place.Happy birthday to me!

I have used similar cameras before but this is much more user friendly, with advanced features such as the wifi capability, and outstanding picture quality. Its very adaptable using the menu also. Recommended.

Nominally a good spec, but the one we got only worked intermittently. Movement detector failed to notice people walking in front of unit, but readily worked when removing camera to investigate inside.Ditto time lapse. Ask for a photo once an hour and you'd get 10 over several days, despite being set to "always on".Powered on 1.2V NiMH batteries OK, but no better performance on 1.5 V batteries.Sad, as the Bluetooth spec to control and download worked OK and would have been a great advantage over many similar units. Sent back for refund, which Amazon gave immediately - but now I have to try and find an alternative for my partner's present !

We purchased two of these after reading the reviews of many. We have found they give clear pictures of our resident hedgehogs. Easy set up, great value for money, plenty of storage for overnight use and plenty robust enough for outdoors.

The media could not be loaded. Loved our footage we have caught with photos and videos of the hedgehog monitoring and then and an unwanted stranger!! Easy to setup and very user friendly to download the all the info captured, thank you!!

My first trailcam, instructions were poor but I managed to set up and place in location. The camera picked up movement for the first few days but constantly disconnected from WIFI and after a few days status said batteries were low so I replaced them. I probably threw away good batteries because the status only updates if connected. Camera is meant to be fully waterproof but condensation started to appear inside the camera lens and detection window. I had downloaded the App Trailcam Go and had contacted their support with photos, they told me the camera appeared to be soaked in water. The only water that has come into contact with the unit is rain and the unit is meant to be fully weatherproof. The App advised me to dry the camera out in the sun and not to worry as this would fix the problem. I did this & kept the camera indoors to fully dry out. The camera will now not connect at all, the inside welcome screen flashes off and on but none of the camera buttons are working. Trailcam Go advised me to contact the manufacturer but I cannot find a link for that. I have spent a full morning trying to contact Amazon and finally managed to get a return/refund organised although I would rather have had a replacement. Now not very confident in purchasing another, very disappointed.Update Dec. 2024I received a refund very quickly, the seller contacted me to offer a free replacement which was unexpected and very much appreciated, thank you. I have had much better luck second time around, although I have placed it in a spot where the rain can't get. I have to change the batteries weekly, or sooner if I've been downloading the images, but the pictures are very clear and the motion trigger is working fine. Unfortunately my hedgehog has gone into hibernation and all I get is cats and mice! But I am looking forward to catching some footage when my hog emerges in Spring!

In my case it was on a summerhouse where we can pick up strong wi fi for our phones and laptop but this would not connect.No bluetooth connection unless very close.I did try for a weekend but all the recordings (mostly of my dog ) could not be viewed on the phone, so removed cam, connected Micro card to laptop, just images, then had to download before viewing.Not what I expected or was wanting.Also difficult to plug in USB as the overlapping Plastic case is higher than the socket, so goes in at an angle !Images were good after downloading, black and white at night still accepable.EDIT. After my initial “Poor 2* “ review AES offered me a free unit to try again.The actual camera is very good with good colour images in daylight and good dark night images, the small display on the back of the camera shows these images or you can download them, by using the sim card or with a USB cable to your PC/laptop.I assumed wrongly that the camera would connect to my home WiFi as a couple of my mains powered cameras do.I got theTrail Cam App to work on WiFi with the replacement camera. The Trail Cam App initially connects with bluetooth to the camera, then turns on a WiFi hotspot that will connect to the app running on your smartphone and you can play and download the videos from the Trail Cam gallery to the App running on my smartphone.
