Game changer
I love it. When I bought I overlooked how lightweight it is- which was fine for me either way. Fast forward several months…I had some difficulty with the strength in my left arm. At the time I was limited to my cooking options. Using a slow cooker was not only a huge help but this one I could manage because of the weight! I would never have been able to use the traditional super heavy ones. Works great too!!

The GreenLife slow cooker is priced right and works well.
As a foodie, I have a wide array of tools in my arsenal, from sous vide machines and BBQ grills to pizza-making equipment and baking gear. However, one item I had never owned until now was a slow cooker. After reading hundreds of product reviews, I decided the GreenLife slow cooker seemed like the right choice for the price and its features. Despite this, I had some concerns about issues mentioned in reviews, such as chemical smells, heating performance, and durability over time.I take all reviews with a grain of salt, as everyone should, and decided to give this unit a try. The slow cooker arrived quickly and was well-packaged. One thing that immediately stood out was how lightweight it was—a pleasant surprise. Before using it for cooking, I conducted a series of tests to evaluate its heating performance at all three temperature settings: low, medium, and high. Here's what I found:Test on Low Setting:I cleaned the unit with soap and water, then filled it with 4 quarts of 70-degree water (measured with a digital thermometer). After running the slow cooker on low for 4 hours, the water reached a final temperature of 175 degrees.During this initial test, the unit emitted a noticeable chemical smell, which was a bit concerning.Test on Medium Setting:I repeated the process with fresh 70-degree water and set the cooker to medium for 4 hours. The final temperature reached 209 degrees, and the chemical smell had mostly dissipated by this point.Test on High Setting:Once again, I started with fresh 70-degree water and set the cooker to high for 4 hours. The water temperature reached 219 degrees, and the chemical smell was completely gone by the end of this test.Additional observations:The exterior of the unit never exceeded 170 degrees, which is an important safety feature. The bottom of the unit stayed below 100 degrees, indicating efficient insulation.Several people mentioned they were worried about the two screws on the bottom that could scratch your countertop. On a level countertop, neither screw will cause a problem, but if you are concerned, place the slow cooker on a cutting board.Based on my tests, I plan to do most of my slow cooking on the medium setting. This setting seems to heat food out of the danger zone (40–140 degrees) more quickly, which is important for food safety.Today, I’m putting the GreenLife slow cooker to work by making a 15-bean soup, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. It’s affordable, functional, and has exceeded my expectations so far.

This one is a Winner
I needed a new Slow cooker and this one really worked well, I love that it has 3 temp settings and that the timer is a dial and you can add time as needed. I was so surprised at the weight, its so light, much easier to carry and store. I wasn't sure I would use it on the stovetop but I have several times and its really handy. I use it several times a month, I have a smaller slow cooker but this is my new favorite.

Red is not red. but, still good.
I haven't rated it yet. I will come back to that when I use it. It is a perfect size for two people. I like how the insert is light, not heavy, like my old crock pot, which was another reason for this purchase. I ordered a red, which came in Maroon, which was very disappointing. So, if you want red, be mindful of that. I ran it through a couple of heating runs as the insert smelled (off-gassing?).UPDATE: The meal came out perfectly. The timer went off, and it kicked over to warm mode, so I gave it four stars. It would have been nice to have had a steam vent hole in the top of the lid and a small recipe booklet, but I can search the web for recipes. Overall, it's excellent. Getting back to the lightweight insert, it's perfect. I don't miss the heavy ceramic ones.

So much better!
Absolutely LOVE this crock pot. The ability to brown the meat & be able to put it right into the crock pot is great & what I love most is the weight of the pan. I always had to leave the old ceramic one for hubs to clean, it was just so heavy. Even HE hated having to clean it. This one is almost as big but the weight difference alone was worth ditching my old one for! 1/10th weight maybe! Buy it, you'll like it!

Great Crockpot but I enjoy the stoneware as well
I like this new lining in the crock pot it is non-stick and cooks well.It is easier to cook without food sticking everywhere. The red color is easy to pair with my kitchen theme and the holidays for potluck. The lid locks well from spills and keeps the food hot.The size of the unit is perfect not too big and not too small. The pot functions great!

Lightweight
I bought this Greenlife 6 quart ceramic slow cooker to replace one that broke last year. I wasn't sure if I wanted a slow cooker with the ceramic stone insert or this one with the lightweight ceramic coated metal insert. I decided to go with this one as it is lighter in weight and easier for me to carry and store.I have cooked in this twice now and both times the food came out perfectly. Cleanup was easy, nothing stuck to the insert. The controls are easy to use. One must press the on/off button firmly to get the slow cooker to turn on. Once its on you press mode to chose the temperature then turn the dial to choose the time. If you want to delay the start of the cooker you set that after you set the cook temp and time. Once the cooking time is done, the cooker switches to keep warm and counts down from 4 hours.I also like the fact that this cooker is deeper than other 6 quart cookers. Being deeper it fits in the same sized spot on my shelf as my 3-1/2 quart Crockpot.
