I bought this to replace the original earcups on my M-I-L's headset that I bought for her about 2 years ago. She wears that headset every day and the earcups were looking rough. The cooling gel earcups look slightly thinner than the originals. I replaced the earcups without telling my MIL that I did anything. She had them on for several hours without noticing any difference- SHE DIDNT NOTICE SHE HAD FRESH EARCUPS when she put them on! So I guess they're at least as comfortable as the stock earcups. Hopefully she'll get at least a year out of these. The price is definitely right and absolutely worth it! I'd buy again.

The original earpads on the Sennheiser headphones simply disintegrated. The surface coating slowly peeled off. Even the pads across the headband that goes over your head came off. These replacement earpads snapped right into place like the originals. They're as comfortable as the originals. They even do a pretty good job of cancelling ambient noise. They're not active noise cancellers but they're pretty good as passive noise cancellers. The material is different from the original equipment so I can only hope they don't suffer the same fate as the originals. I find I don't miss the pads over the top so I should be set now for a few years. I'll have to come back in a year or so to update this review with longevity information. I've only just gotten these so I can't comment on longevity.

Really appreciate that they include the plastic hardware to clip into the headphones so you can install them immediately. Replacement pads for the prior model of wireless sennheisers typically did not.

Seems like a good quality replacement for disappointing, falling-apart original ear pads and at a much better price than available original brand replacements. Of course, too soon to tell life expectancy.- which is why 4*s instead of 5*s.

This is much better quality than the original ones. You can tell it will hold up over time. Very comfortable and definitely cooling to wear. I took a picture of the old and new together so you can compare.
