I purchased this to mount in my truck for a compact 9mm. Works well, magnet is strong but not too strong and the rubber coating protects from any scratching.

Clever design but as mentioned in previous reviews, the magnet is a bit weak...strong enough for a small revolver or for an upright standing riffle but would not recommend for a full size pistol or revolver car mount solution

Will not hold a full sized pistol well, in a vehicle. It is what I ordered, but over priced for what it is. Will hold a mag.

These gun magnet holders work great. I have 4 of them up in my duck blind and they hold my shot guns up with ease. There is just enough magnatisim to hold them in place and a quick snatch of the gun and I'm ready to knock some ducks out of the sky. They provide peace of mind knowing that the gun is not going to fall over due it just resting up against the rail of blind.

I bet these mounts work great in a duck blind or boat, at the shooting bench, on the side of the gun safe, and lots of other spots. My need was to securely mount a pistol in my vehicle. It just wasn't the right tool for that.My glock 23 with it's squarish slide just wouldn't stay in this mount while driving down a bumpy road. I bought a phantom mount and love it for that purpose.The Cojo is a very well made product with good magnets. I left it installed in my vehicle to hold a spare pistol magazine. It hasn't dropped it yet and I travel rough bumpy roads regularly. For the same money for my application though I am sticking with phantom mounts from now on. But I may put a few cojo mounts on my gun safe to hold long guns while I'm shuffling and digging through the safe. That is where this cojo mount shines.
