Miles better than the cheep ones i was using before
If you are planning to use a chainsaw regularly files are an essential bit of kit to keep the chains sharp and useable.I got these for use with my stihl ms180. These are 5/32 of an inch or 4mm. The box contains 12 files. These are good quality files. There's no flex when in use. The teeth are also cut in a spiral to make cleaning and clearing material away much easier. The end is also triangular so you can easy grip it by hand and stash a few in your pockets or tool pouch without being bulky.Performance wise they work a treat and had a dull chain ready to go in 20mins. I also used one while in the middle of a job. A quick 5 minute touch up and we were flying through logs again. Once you learn how to sharpen a chain using these they are a life saver, and will also save you a fortune in replacement chains.Good quality and value. Recommended. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful

Good files, good value, good range.
What can I say? They’re great files, cut well into the cutters on my chains, and are very reasonably priced on Amazon.I have drawers full of these things and I love them.Note you will need to buy a corresponding wooden handle it you don’t already own one, unless you’ve got hands like sandpaper and a grip like a vice.Oh and they do them in all the chain sizes, so you can impress your neighbours by sharpening the chains on their wimpy electric chainsaws.

Excellent files but handle with care
I have just used the first file from the batch I bought, to sharpen the chain on my old 14 inch McCulloch chainsaw. I sharpened freehand, a I don’t find the various guides - even the Oregon one - very effective.Wow, these files are a joy to use. They allow me to file the teeth to the optimum ‘kitty claw’ pointed finish, with only about five passes per tooth - more on a damaged tooth of course.Be aware that the files are soft and bend easily, but used with care they do a terrific job. Remember to use a narrow flat file to file down your rakers now and again, and you won’t be ‘disappointed’…

Swiss made
Good value, quality files.Stay keen which are better than cheaper alternatives I've used that become blunt in a short while.

You really cannot go wrong with these
As a woodland owner I spend a fair amount of time sharpening chains and find Oregon products generally and these files specifically to be a very good quality product. It is surprisingly enjoyable to swap to a fresh new file and feel the difference it makes yet these do seem to last well.I found the price was very competitive and delivery speedy.
