Works well, tested at 100m
Tested this product over a span of 100m (with a matching pair on the other end) and it worked flawlessly, no packet loss.I used a generic Ethernet to SFP converter, no problems, worked "plug and play"BiDi is such a better and more efficient use of fiber - two wavelength at the same time instead of one wavelength at a time. Just pay attention to the wavelength you purchase as it needs to be the reverse.Happy with this product

No problems at all, just make sure you get the right "opposite" transceiver as well!
These BiDi transceivers are great little things. Allows you to have both send and receive on one fiber instead of two. Allowing you to have one standard pull (two fibers) and get two sets of "links". Just make sure you get the "opposite" transceiver for the other side. If not you'll end up having both wavelengths doing the same thing instead of opposites, which means no link. Other than that, make sure you also don't get the long distance versions for a short run or you'll end up burning out the receivers and having no link yet again. So, long story short, use these right and they work great!!

Great for adding more bandwidth with limited fiber
Opstran is doing good things here. This BiDi module worked well with my switching and aggregation equipment. I was able to split a 1g uplink using a fiber pair into two 1g uplinks for added bandwidth. This module is 1550nm TX and 1310nm RX. You’ll need the opposite - a 1310nm TX and 1550nm RX on the other side to link correctly. Amazing such a small item can send signals up to 20 km. Will order again.
