Love this laptop!
This laptop is great for the value! Functions perfectly for school and work purposes. Also is great for streaming. I don't think this laptop would support a ton of games, but you can definitely still use it for more simplistic gaming. Touch screen is nice too, usually do not see that on laptops with this price range. Battery life is good too. If you need a new laptop for work, school, or just general use then this is a good pick.

A good deal for the price paid during Black Friday Sale !
This Acer Aspire 5 Laptop (16GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512 GB SSD, Touchscreen, Win 11 Home) is a good Laptop for the average to serious business user - it is fast, good graphics capabilities, lightweight, has all the key stuff that you expect and the Touchscreen is an added bonus .....However, a few 'cons' : My biggest grouse was with the contrast of the lettering on the keys, which was white on gray. With even the slightest light falling on it from the top or back of the laptop, the markings on the keys would be difficult to read. Lack of a USB C port was another 'con'. The relatively bulky power adapter was also not to my liking as this is not a wall mounted cube but a brick to be kept on the floor !Setting up the Laptop was easy and I could very quickly get everything set the way I wanted to.But, I had to return this unit as there was a very unusual jarring vibrating sound from inside the Laptop when I lifted it or sometimes even when just typing on it. Seemed to be coming from the CPU Fan inside. It was not continuous, just for a couple of seconds, but couldn't take a chance and hence returned it.

Is it just my bad luck?!
I had ordered the first laptop. It did arrive very fast. But when the box arrived, they had the product box packed up in a larger box but no cushioning. Just sloshing around in there breaking who knows what. Then I get the computer set up and working. It's intended for using for a lot of video conferencing for the wife's work. Then in the middle of a zoom session, the laptop randomly restarted itself at the worst time. Checked the event log and said it was "error" had occurred. Double checked settings to try and stop anymore random restarts. And then it did it again! in the middle of a meeting...again! So, this is defective. No biggy. It happens sometimes. So, I returned it and got another one. BTW, the 2nd one also had no cushioning in the shipping box.The next one had another defect! Could not detect or find the BUILT-IN web cam. Kind of the most important feature for a video conferencing laptop. Tried updates, drivers, etc. No dice. Another defective laptop. That got sent back to.I'm going to an in-person store now for the next one. Terrible experience and question the quality of the laptops this seller sends out.

A great laptop at a great price!
I am so happy with this laptop! It replaced my old Dell that was several years old and meant upgrading to Windows 11. So far, so good. Speed is amazing (16g of RAM) and the switch to Windows 11 was painless. The keyboard is sleek and the keys are well-sized. My only complaint is the number keypad is a bit smaller and my fingers have not adapted...that's a me problem. It has great ratings by CNET and other IT pros I know. Oh, it also connected itself to my Bluetooth printer without any help from me. Hooray! I use a wireless mouse because it's better for my hands, but the pad is generously sized and responsive. Battery life is very good screen quality is great, sharp and bright.

Runs great and perfect for my uses
I have owned my ACER Aspire 5 15 laptop for over a month and love it. No issues at all, it starts up quickly and runs smoothly. Windows 11 arrived with version 23H2 and it promptly updated itself to 24H2 without any drama. Battery life is fine for my uses and it will go 15 hours on a full charge with a balanced power profile. No doubt it would go longer with the maximum ECO settings. Note that if you need more than 2 USB ports this laptop might not be for you. I use a cordless mouse so one port is for the dongle but in my case I never need more than one USB port free for USB sticks or programming cables for other equipment. No regrets with this little ACER and everything runs fine with the I-5 processor and the 16G of memory. The 512G SSD gives me more space than I will ever use with this machine but it's nice to know that it's there. Highly recommended!
