The rechargeable battery in my SimpliSafe system camera required that I get the ladder and climb up to the camera every 4 to 6 weeks, remove the battery and recharge it. This solar panel has solved that problem completely. I've had it for a couple months now and the battery always indicates 100%. I didn't need the mount that came with the panel, as I just laid it flat on the roof of my patio cover and plugged it into the camera mounted under the cover. I held it in place with a dab of silicone. It began working immediately. Time will tell how long it lasts. BTW - living in the S.W. we get lots of sun and little rain - so perfect conditions for this device.

I have SimpliSafe’s outdoor cameras and this was a game changer. I don’t have to worry about changing my batteries anymore, easy to install and charges while the sun it out. Make sure to position in enough sunlight otherwise you’ll have to take it down and charge it manually

This solar charger has kept my outdoor security camera charged ever since I got it about a month ago. I didn't give it 5 stars because it doesn't keep the charge at as high a level as I think it should. Nonetheless, it's working!

I was a little skeptical, given how inexpensive this solar panel charger is, however given that Simplisafe's costs $80, I decided to give it a try. It has outperformed my expectations.

So excited about these! I wasn’t looking forward to having to take cameras down to charge when the battery ran low and NOW I DONT HAVE TO!!Super easy to install and work great to keep camer barriers charged!! Well worth the price!!

Absolutely terrible product that completely fails to deliver on its promises. I purchased this solar panel specifically to work with my Simplisafe system, and it has been nothing but a disappointment from day one.The build quality is shockingly poor - the plastic housing feels cheap and brittle, with connection points that never quite line up properly with my Simplisafe equipment. Installation was frustrating due to vague instructions and mounting hardware that seemed designed for completely different devices.Performance is the biggest issue - despite placing the panel in a location with direct sunlight for most of the day, it barely charges my Simplisafe devices at all. Battery levels continue to drain almost as if the solar panel isn't even connected. I've tried multiple positioning adjustments with no improvement.The cable length is inadequate for practical installation, forcing compromises in panel placement that further reduce its already poor efficiency. Weather resistance also appears questionable - after just one moderate rainstorm, there were visible signs of moisture inside the panel housing.Customer service was unhelpful when I reached out with these issues, suggesting I must be using it incorrectly despite following their installation guide precisely.Save your money and either purchase the official Simplisafe solar accessories or stick with regular battery replacements. This third-party option is completely unreliable and a waste of both time and money.

The Good:-Installed easily (with the proper drill and screwdriver)-Connected to camera easily-Powers camera effectively.-The product works fine and, I would say, even better functionally than I expected.-It appears to keep the camera at 100% charged even on cloudy days.The Not so Good:-The power cable is 13 ft long. That may be okay for some people. But for me, it was way WAY too long. I didn’t even have to unroll it to connect it to my camera. In my case, 1 ft would have been sufficient. To be fair, the Amazon product description does specify the cord length. But I guess I didn’t really realize how much extra cord that turns out to be by the the way it is packaged. It would be great if there was an option for a shorter cord or had some type of mechanism to customize (retract or extend) the length as needed. In my case, I left my cord rolled up (with the twist tie as it comes) and taped the excess to the back of the panel to keep it out of plain sight.So, overall 4 stars. It would have been 5 stars with an adjustable cord length.
