This surprised me. I thought that at the cheap price it would be junk. I was wrong. It's very consistent, reports temperature immediately and holds up well. I've been using this for over a year when recording my daily vitals and it's worked perfectly. I'm very satisfied with this item.

Considering I was buying this while only being half way alive from the plauge, it was not as easy to just open and use as I was led to believe by the product description and reviews. Yes, I'm operating with half a brain, but isn't that exactly why it should be so easy as point and press? Took a good 20 minutes of putting the batteries in, taking them back out, in again, flip them around, do the hokie pokie. It really only started working "properly" after I had to turn it off switch from forehead mode to room temp mode, then turn it back on. What kind of IT Tech boy came up with that as a cheat code? I'm sick, I shouldn't be expected to jump through hoops and figure out the nuclear football codes all on my own. I just needed to take my temperature and this point and click think was the same price as the old fashioned shove it up a baby's butt. Am I asking for too much here? When you say point and click, it should mean straight out of the box point and click.It seems to be working just fine now, but I'm annoyed on top of having the plauge.
