I have one and it rained I'd never owned one before so I though I could simply dump the water from the fuel holder refill and light but the wool that came with the fire put Soaked up the water like a spondge would and made awful poping, hissing, and snaping sounds at me not the vibe I wanted so I bought these replacement ones and they're great I especially like the shape cause it means you can get them to fit a variety of sizes of pits without cutting them.

The tweezers it comes with is definitely a muat too!! I use the tweezer to pull out the wool to relight definitely don't buy any pack without one it's definitely a must-have!!
