I own a couple of Rite in Rain pencils and I love them. However buying extra lead in a pain. I tried this one because of the add on for the same price. I made a good choice. The pencil is indistinguishable from a Rite in Rain, except the labeling.

I'm like a gorilla, I break small leads, these are just right, there is bigger lead pencils, but you are constantly sharpening them. I like the mechanical pencil form; they make heavy lead pencil for construction that just look and feel weird. And I like the different colored lead for writing on different material.

Great pencils - I use them over pens when taking notes.

Well built seem to be quality writing instrument.

Seems exactly as described. I like to use thick leaded, mechanical pencils at work as an electrician. I can't stand regular pencils because sharpening is a pain in the rear. Also, they're a pain to write with since a fine point is impractical for actual field use. Only complaints about the actual product is that the eraser holder is only held in place by a fairly weak spring. Extras are included and I think I'll probably need then. Also, the included yellow lead seems too light to be of any use. Red and Black seem great though. Finally, the included leads are too long. Not a huge issue as you can break them in order to load.

Very satisfied with this mechanical pencil set. All you fet and for the price you cannot beat it.

Haven't had much time with them. But in initial feel they're tanks. I bought I second more expensive pair thinking these would be crap it was the other way around

The mechanical pencil itself is rather decent, heavy solid well-made and so far has held up to the abuse I tend to subject my tools to. I use these for primarily for woodworking, marking materials, ext. and for sketching design concepts on graph paper, (I’m old school not old). The problem I have is with the pencil’s lead and the substantial refills it comes with, which is the reason I purchased these in the first place. The pencils were kind of a bonus. The problem is that it’s simply not dark enough. I can barely see the lines on a white sheet of paper let alone on dark hardwood. If it can’t be seen than it’s essentially useless unless I place another order for darker replacement lead. It’s an annoying hassle that someone should have recognized long before putting these on the market.
