looks like the factory installed door latch
Item got perfectly. Used shorter screws to avoid screw coming out other side. Otherwise, an easy install that looks like the factory installed.

It works.
The spring in my old one broke, so got this as the "Overall Pick" that amazon suggested. The item itself is really good quality. Nice strong spring, thick sturdy plastic throughout every piece. It works, which is what's important. It's literally twice the size of the one I had, but it fit so I kept it.Now, I give 4 stars because it came with really terrible screws, and zero instruction. It's not rocket science, but a mounting template would have been an easy thing to add at very very minimal cost or effort. The screws are awful, two of them snapped during install, even with pilot holes drilled and using a simple screwdriver not a power drill. Use better hardware, don't rely on the ones in the kit.I had to put 7 new holes in my door and frame to put this in, which isn't the fault of the manufacturer, but at the time of purchase there were no dimensions listed. If I'd known it would be that much of a difference, I would have ordered one smaller. As stated before, zero instructions. If you have a hard time troubleshooting things, phone a friend. Id also recommend mounting the catch a little higher and err more on the side closest the assembly than instinct would tell you. The handle is very long, so if you mount the catch too low or too far toward the end, it'll just bend the handle and won't actually depress it. Maybe over time after the spring wears in some it might work properly. Until then, I'm manually putting the handle into the catch to avoid breaking the whole thing.I don't hate it, I won't be returning it. It works, it looks nice, and I'm able to use my screen door correctly again which is great with spring here and summer coming. I just wish it was a little smaller and came with some basic information and a template.

Keep the screws from your original door handle
It took a few minutes longer than planned but after some adjustments I have it installed now. The handle seems sturdy enough so hopefully it lasts. The screws they sent were too long and they were all wood screws. The metal screen door requires a different thread type. Lucky I still had my original screws so I just used those. The holes don’t line up with the holes from my old door handle so I had to drill additional holes in my door to get it to latch properly. Also my original handle is a right handed handle so I ordered a right handed replacement but it’s backwards.I gave this three stars mostly because if I used the screws they sent it would have caused holes in the outer door of my RV.
