A beautiful and simplistic approach
Deep Meditation - Pathway to Personal Freedom written by Yogani is such a beautiful book and even the style of writing and the energy behind the lines show the authenticity of the author's message. The same that I feel with Eckhart Tolle and Rupert Spira for example. This book shows how simple it truly is to engage in Deep Meditation and how to avoid any complications that our human nature and more importantly, our minds, tend to do. The method is explained already within the first few pages. The rest of the book is to ensure that it remains as simple as possible by tackling any kind of situation that may arise which will drive us to complicate things. The language is simple, and the message is simple, exactly as it should be. I will definitely get the other books in the series when the time is right.

Everything I ever wanted to know about meditation
Everyone talks about meditation but no one seemed to know much about it really, cause even those who said they knew, would rattle generic explanations off as if dishing out free candy and afterword... I still had the same questions as before!!!It always seemed I couldn't go to the expensive seminars and retreats that were available and that promised teaching you what meditation is and some even have a follow up each month where there is that monthly fee also that you had to be involved with.I had purchased many books, DVDs, video seminars and classes; I have searched for sooooooo long to find out (1) What exactly is meditation (2) How is meditation done. Well, a few days ago I came across a book where the author wrote his experiences in journal type format and he mentioned where he learned to meditate and gave the website ([...]). I went to the website and read much of the free stuff they have there and decided that if the information that they talk about is actually delivered in the books... it would be well worth the small prices they're asking for the books available both on that site ([...]) as well as here at Amazon.com; there is little difference in the cost but I have always had such good experiences with Amazon, I decided to order from Amazon some of the author's (Yogani) books 2 of which are of yoga, and then the important subjects are broken down into smaller books with more detail of each topic and are from his "AYP Enlightenment Series" which consist of about 11 smaller books somewhere around 100 pages each. After ordering the books, I couldn't wait to know about the book on meditation so I also ordered the "Kindle Edition" of it and read the whole thing in one night (about 100 pages not counting extras) the promise was delivered... now I know (1) What exactly is meditation (2) How is meditation done and so very much more. Thanks Yogani

Clear and Interesting
This is not how I was meditating before I read this book. I like the authors style and so I changed how I meditate. I have changed my styles off and on for a few years now and will throw in the occasional guided meditation from time to time. I like this style and am trying it on for awhile. I am doing this in conjunction with Spinal Breathing another book in this series. I'm enjoying the series and find it useful in my education to being a yogi.I don't think a person can truly understand something without trying it on for size for awhile. I also think that there is an art to everything we do. Even things with "rules we should never break." One thing I really like about this author is that he gives you the absolute necesities and why and then some possible additions as long as they don't take away from the baseline instruction. The style of teaching this author uses helps me to find my art in things faster. Finding our art in technique is how we become masters. I love being the master of my life.

Excellent.
I will try to make this brief. My background: I have read many many books on meditation, religion and philosophy. I majored in Religious Studies with an emphasis in Eastern traditions. I have practiced many forms of meditation/yoga over the past 20+ years. In my opinion the best practice is the one you do. There are many techniques out there but if they are too difficult or elaborate or require exhaustive learning with questionable progress the average seeker will simply not persist. And persistence is the key to them all.The technique laid out by Yogani is not new. It is a widely used Hindu practice that, in my opinion, is and has been one of the simplest and most effective means of meditation one can find. Trust me I have looked and looked. It is essentially TM, which despite its pop culture status, actually works.Yogani's easy to follow writing style makes the technique and the philosophy/science behind it extremely accessible.Bottom line: This is the simplest and most effective meditation technique you will find. Learn it. Do it. Witness your growth.

Superior Instruction on Mantra-based Meditation
There is a lot of information about meditation in print but this audio-formatted version is excellent. In 20 years of meditation this instruction provides one of the best summaries of the reasons and effects of meditation that I've seen. It's not a deeply scientific book but covers the practice in a straight forward manner; what to expect as your try meditation for the first time; what to do about lapses in your schedule, timing, being on the go; it covers how to recognize actual progress into days, months, years of meditation, and integrates how to deal with and expect of "inner purification" of the nervous system, distractions and health issues that are expected, and practical recommendations and methods of working through them; and it clearly outlines the benefits, both internal and external, physical and mental. It is from a yoga-based series but mentions little about religion or even the spiritual elements of meditation, although many may use the practice for those reasons. The narrator in the audio version is a little monotone, but has a clear and direct manner. A solid overview for beginners as well as experienced meditators looking for solid instruction and support.

The only regret you will have is not starting sooner -or dismissing it, & spending a fortune on personal teachings like I did!
With mediation and mindfulness getting so much press, it's easy to get lost in the noise. I bought this book sometime ago to learn meditation for the first time, and foolishly dismissed it for its simplicity. Since then I paid significant money to learn a very popular form of meditation which is also practiced by such famed celebrity stars as Paul Mc Cartney, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen and many more.Recently however, I chose to re-read Deep Meditation, and was blown away by the fact I already had everything I had needed within the pages of this book! Meditation needn't be complicated, mysterious or confused with the misconception its religious. Invest in this short, rich book and begin the path to deep and fulfilling practice that WILL change your life as it has under many 'names' for millions of others. The only regret you will have is not starting sooner (or dismissing it, and spending a fortune on personal teachings like I did to learn the very same thing!)

Great book on deep meditation!!
I have enjoyed reading this book a lot. Deep meditation is explained in easy language and how to meditate. Also Yogany writes about all the experiences you will have during deep meditation and also experiences you will have as a result of deep meditation. It all makes perfect sense. I have been practicing transcendental meditation for years and I have found this book very helpful. Thank you Yogany!I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in learning an easy and effective form of meditation or to anyone who is already meditating because this book has fantastic information that is easily explained.

Could not stop reading
This book was so interesting to me. I wanted to start meditating and this book is so accessible it enabled me to do that. I love the style in which it is written. Yogani takes complicated and complex concepts and ideas and explains them so clearly. It is an easy but very informative read and I find myself inspired and wanting to know much more. I have started experiencing the benefits of meditation and I feel this book has changed my life and started me on a journey.

Simple and straightforward
I was looking for an effective meditation method and had tried quite a few. Being good at changing my mind, I found it difficult to settle on one method and was always trying something different. I came across Yogani's book on Amazon and saw how many five star reviews it had. So I bought it on my Kindle and have never looked back. The meditation method is simple and easy to follow. There is no faffing around with trying this or trying that. And what I love about it most of all is that it explains how the ever occurring thoughts that seem to 'interfere' with the meditation process are actually a necessary part of it and that they are actually clearing stuff out of the unconscious. At last, I can allow what happens to happen without feeling that I had a 'bad' meditation.Yogani also answers almost every question you could ever think of about meditation and about the process he recommends.A short and, I believe, life-changing book.
