This blew my mind.
Honestly just buy this for your mixer so it works the way you imagine it should. This upgrade for the beater is crazy! Giving professional results and cutting your mixing time in half, since scraping the sides or pushing the ingredients that got caught in the hole in the middle of the paddle into the bowl.It just works.

Great at incorporating ingredients and scraping
I was skeptical but hopeful that this beater would eliminate the need for scraping the bowl. I'm pleased to say it does just that and therefore is worth the much higher price to me. FYI if there are not enough ingredients in the bowl it will make a weird sound, but it goes away with more ingredients to mix. Highly recommend.

Very durable replacement mixer blade or a Professional HD 5-quart KitchenAid lift mixer. I bought it to replace the pot metal cheap blade that came with the mixer. This one looks like it will hold up for some time.

Paint chip!
This was my second purchase of this beater. Thinking the first was something I did to make the paint chip off so bad. But after only 3 months of using this paint is already chipping off!
