I never thought I would be one of "those people" who bought their dog a car seat. But since the fateful car ride where my dog managed to have a butt gland leak AND throw up on my lap in the same trip, this has been a requirement for any car travel with her.Since the moment it arrived, she claimed it as her "throne" and loves riding in it. She's not small at 25+ lbs, but she fits well in this seat. It holds her high enough to see out of the window and is large enough for her to curl up and take a nap if she is waiting for us or coming home from the dog park (Bonus: put a towel in there and any mud or dirt doesn't get on the seat).It's easy to thread the seat belt underneath the cushion to secure the seat. The leash attachments are flimsy and probably wouldn't stop my dog from anything in the event of an accident, so i should probably replace them at some point. I would be willing to pay more for this seat if they were of higher quality - maybe that should be an option?They are helpful to keep her in the seat when I am driving or have to leave her in the car for a short time.I also love the fact that there is a lot less dog hair on my car seats. Tan upholstery + black dog = a car that looks awful.This purchase has been worth every penny - it's over a year old and still looks great. I compared this against the other seats of a similar size and chose it for the price as well as the fact it was made of foam and not with hard plastic pieces.

My Westy, Fred, Absolutely loves his new seat. I have it installed on the front seat and he can ride next to me. It raises them up a little higher so he can see you around and the way the bucket is designed it makes him feel cozy and secure. I travel frequently back-and-forth to my daughter’s family about two hours away and he used to get stressed in the car leaving now I had a dog bed and blanket in the backseat and another little blanket on the front seat now he takes the trip very comfortably and is very happy to either watch as the country travels by or take a little nap. And has made the traveling back-and-forth so much more pleasant and makes me feel more safI travel frequently back-and-forth to my daughters family about two hours away and he used to get stressed in the car even though I had a dog bed and blanket in the backseat and another little blanket on the front seat now he takes the trip very comfortably and is very happy to either watch as the country travels by or take a little nap. The seat is decent and fits nicely in front seat of a Honda. It's easy to install and has two tethers. I use one on the dog and the other to go over the back of the seat for more stability. It's not fancy or plush but looks fine and does the job. My pup is comfortable and can see out the window.

2024 Update: 7 years and a second dog later and this thing just keeps performing. My current pup is about 12lbs and still has plenty of space. It keeps him safe and secure. I have not had an accident so I can’t speak to how well it handles that situation but it has held up very well to consistent use. Photos are from 2024.———————-Bought this because my dog travels with me to grandmas house and I wanted to make sure she was secure in the event of an accident. Luckily we haven’t had any of those but this little seat keeps her safely secured in the back seat for the quick stops or tight corners.Make sure it is secured with the seat belt or it will tip over.Plenty of space for her to lay down comfortably and even stand up and peek out the window. It takes a little bit for them to become accustomed to the tether and know how much they can move about. She had a minor “accident” and everything was washable and handled washing and drying well.A must have for your traveling pet!

First of all....I can't believe how quickly this came after I placed my order. I am unable to travel with my little guy in the car, so quick delivery was much appreciated. The box was pretty light, which surprised me, I expected a heavy box. The car seat arrived in perfect condition. The seat cushion is very thick and very comfortable for my little one. I will update once he has traveled in it for a period of time. He is an 8lb chihuahua and there is plenty of room in it for him. I also have a 14 lb jack Russell and there is no way this would be a good fit for her...way too small. If you have a small dog, this will fit the bill. You can't beat the price for the quality. Happy traveling from Angus the chihuahua:) Update.... Ok so Angus and I did a couple trips with his new seat. To install it take the seatbelt end and tip the car seat sideways and drop the seatbelt in. Your hand will not fit into the opening. It seems pretty secure once installed. I don't like that the harness is attached just behind the seat cushion. I do not see this as being very secure, if heaven forbid, you are in an accident. I purchased extra seat belt extensions and use it to better secure him. He seems happy in it once he got used to it...initially he jumped out and sat next to it..lol We are doing better now that he gets the hang of it:) I made a few alterations to better secure him, so I am very happy with this seat and would recommend it. I see so many people posting pictures of their dog sitting in their seat with the harness strap attached to their collar. PLEASE>>>PLEASE..... attach it to a harness they are wearing. If you have to stop suddenly, you do not want your little love to be strangled...we don't attach our seatbelt around our neck for a reason:))) Enjoy traveling safely with your four legged loves:)
