Great Product
I did print block carving way back in 6th grade but I was just recently looking to get back into stamp carving for letterboxing. I ordered this product so that I can carve my own personalized stamps.Pros:-- Easy to carve-- Doesn't have a 'chemical' smell-- Pleasant texture to work with-- Appears to be holding up well (I have only had it for a few weeks)Cons:-- The edges of the product are just barely sloped but it is enough to have an impact on the clarity of stamping. I found that I had to cut off about a 1/4 of an inch from each side to achieve a flat plane to work with. Conclusions: I really enjoyed working with this product. I have yet to back my product and expose them to the letterboxing elements but the rubber feels like it is substantial. I would definitely recommend and repurchase in the future.

Easy to use
The smaller size is easy to hold on to. And the block carves easily.

Great product, super easy to carve!
I purchased this to make custom stamps form daughters bridal shower gift bags. It was super easy to carve and I thought the stamp turned out great! Guests wanted to know where I bought it. I found it here much cheeper than online art stores. Carving your own stamps is not only easy, its rewarding, it's fun!I plan on ordering more for other projects. I work with clay and creating custom stamps to stamp on bisque with underglaze allows me to create some cool, one of a kind pieces. The speedy carve shipped and arrived promptly. I like the fact that it was packaged modestly; in just a plastic bag to keep it compact and neat. I truly hate an abundance of unnecessary hard to open packaging that clutter up our landfills.[...]

Durable and easy to use
These were the first carving blocks I tried. After making a few designs, I tried the cheaper Speedball rubber stamp (more like an eraser) and a hard block. I need more time to mess around with the harder block, but the other rubber stamp was awful. It broke apart easily and one time a hair got in my stamp and left an indent in the stamp. This one does not do that. It is also a little harder to carve than the cheaper rubber one, which makes it easier to use and with more forgiveness. I prefer this one now for designs that are not too detailed. With a great amount of small detail, I would use the hard block.

Good material to carve, with some quibbles
This block carves very easily; it is firm but has a bit of a give, and it doesn't crumble. I've carved out really small lines and details, and the prints come out very nice and clear. I have not used it long enough to be sure, but it looks like the material is durable. The only thing I don't like is that the thickness is only a 1/4 inch, so using it without a backing can be a struggle, even for people with small hands like myself.

Long lasting
Works great, carved this puppy for our band t shirts and we’ve made over 100 now. 10/10 recommend.

Beginners opinion
The material is sturdy but easy to carve I purchased a few different sizes. I cut one in half with an x-acto knife. I would recommend these to anyone looking to start carving.

Good stamping medium. Easy carving.
There is no way to describe how easy it is to carve this material. Your gouges will just glide right through it. I took ink-jet art, lightly sprayed water on it, and rubbed the image onto the carving block. It's almost enough to see the outlines of your art. A pencil outline will also easily transfer by rubbing. Good stuff, will buy again. Note: to contact cement this to a handle, roughen the area or lightly line the area. It's too slick to hold much cement as is.
