The swords are well crafted and sturdy. They're perfect for small to medium-sized hands and light enough to be easily wielded.

I bought this as a birthday gift for a nephew. When I opened the box, I was disappointed by the slimness of this swords. I thought that they would be easily broken by my rambunctious nephew.I'm glad to report that they're solid and still haven't broken after some epic fights. They're lightweight enough to be handled by a child but strong enough to not break. One of the best gifts I've given.

My son asked for these for Christmas. He loves them and takes them everywhere and does a fair amount of outdoor play and so far they have held up!

I have two rambunctious boys who love to "duel" with anything & everything. (Which they may have inherited from me, as I'm still known to pick up a stick, paper towel roll, etc & wield it as a sword, lightsaber, etc.). So, as soon as I saw these, I knew they were a must!I am not disappointed. These are awesome! Not only do they look great, but they are the perfect size & weight for some epic swordfights. After about 2 weeks of full on play from my 9 & 7 yr olds, (with Mom challenging them to duels as well) they still look great - no splintering, cracking or dents. They fit nicely in their hands & look super cool hanging on the end of their toy storage cabinet when playtime is over.I'm also happy to report that even with all the clashing, swinging, banging, etc - no one has gotten hurt. I believe the sturdiness of the swords help the boys have better control over them.These wooden swords are wonderful & will hopefully save my broom handles from the splitting fate that I gave all of my mom's broomsticks back in the day. (Sorry Mom!)These will also be great accessories for the boys to take to the local Ren Faire this fall! Very, very pleased with these!

LONG AGO and and far away, a boy and his friend are fighting bad dragons in the forest. Just recently, I decided to order from Amazon Vine, this double sword set, for the girl in me who also must sometimes fight and defeat bad dragons, even in this day and age. Bad dragons, and good dragon, they still exist.The swords arrived unceremoniously without special packaging, or colorful advertising attached. They did not need anything like that. For some long time, I wanted to own what are are known as "Tai Chi" swords, used for practicing the swordplay form of Tai Chi martial arts. When I saw this set of wood swords, it reminded me of long ago when I studied Tai Chi swordplay.I am delighted to have my dream fulfilled with this modest, plain wood and jute set. A wooden sword pair to remind me of the friends I had when I studied Han Chinese martial arts, Tail Chi Sword play, in Chinatown, NYC. The wonderful time it was, long ago, and far away.

these are very cool, very rustic feeling swords that have been good for the kiddos. since they're actual wood, please be mindful of your kids responsibility and remember to keep watching them even if these are just toys when they're playing--they can very easily land some extra nasty bruises or poke an eye! they're super lightweight, and were sanded down soft so now splinters were possible. the twine is a nice touch for adding detail and practicality for gripping!
