RESTCLOUD Insect and Butterfly Habitat Cage Terrarium Pop-up 23.6 Inches Tall

I started a vicious cycle of caring for Monarch caterpillars. Started with a few in my garden and I wanted to house them inside so they would stay safe and my young son could learn about them. Bought a few milkweed plants that apparently had more eggs and now I’m in over my head feeding an additional 16 mouths. However this enclosure has been perfect. The viewing window makes it easy to watch them. They are able to secure themselves at the top of the mesh. It’s easy to open and clean with the huge zippered side. Handles at the top for easy carrying and large enough for a gallon pot or larger to fit inside.

Just what I needed! Where were these when I was homeschooling my kids?! We made a homemade one when the kids were young, but this one is so much better! I really like the clear side that allows for better observation of the caterpillars! It has handles on the top to make the rearing cage easy to transport or hang up, when releasing the butterflies. The tightly woven mesh fabric sides allow air flow, but keep tiny caterpillars in and predators out. No escapees! I like that it can be folded flat and easily stored. It is a great product at a very affordable price. So glad I found this product! I bought the medium size one, 15” x 15”.

My son wanted to raise a batch of painted lady butterflies. I didn’t plan it well and we are headed for the beach tomorrow! Luckily, they will be on day 3 of their chrysalis stage. I moved them into this net which is perfect size for travel! It’s sturdy, high quality and compact. Zipper is legit. Looks like we are having us some Beach Butterflies! It is NOT ideal to travel with chrysalises but the alternative isn’t an option. My son is so excited to watch them hatch! It’s going to be very fun for him and his cousin! I laid the lid down flat to prevent major jostling. I’ll report back on how they did!UPDATE: We traveled 4 hours to the beach. Stayed a week and drove back home 4 hours with these chrysalises in this net. The morning after we got home- they emerged! Now, we have 2 healthy beautiful painted lady butterflies!! Of course I do not recommend traveling with pupas but I was afraid they would hatch while we were gone and not get the attention and care they needed. All in all- it was a big success!! Highly recommend this net cage!

This was a little bigger than what I was expecting, but it works well. The clear side is great for kids to be able to peek inside and look at the caterpillars/butterflies. Would buy again! Also, I was worried that the holes in the mesh would be too big for baby monarch caterpillars to get through, but from what I saw, it looks like they wouldn't be able to get through.

I Purchased this product to have at a nursing home where my Mother resides. I thought this would be something nice for the residence to experience. I never realized how this would impact the people there in such a positive way! Everyone checks it daily to see if we have a new caterpillar sighting or a new cocoon or a butterfly has emerged. The releasing of the butterflies is always an exciting event that they all love to watch.This is such a great project for all ages.Once you purchase the cage, there basically is no cost involved. Milk weed grows everywhere and it is very easy to clip off a branch or two every now and then to feed your hungry caterpillars. If you see a white dot on the back of the leaf, then you will most likely have a caterpillar emerge within the next 3 to 4 days which will start your whole process over again. It comes with a very cute booklet that explains what happens and how long each individual stage takes, along with exactly what to do, starting from finding leaves with tiny eggs, all the way through the butterfly emerging. I leave it out by the cage for all the residents to look at. This has been such a great little project.This cage is high-quality and I would recommend it. One of the sides is plastic for easier viewing, which is absolutely a genius idea. It makes it very easy for the residence to come up and look inside.This is extremely easy and an A+ in my book!

This is a must for anyone wanting a safe place to raise monarch caterpillars. It’s the perfect size not to big and not too small. It’s made very well with sturdy breathable material and the plastic window makes it easy to view your caterpillars and plants. It’s light weight and easy to clean. The double zipper makes for easy access to release you butterflies or replenish your milkweed.

Very nice size and quality

This has been perfect for raising butterflies. It is an easy pop up and allows for visualization of the caterpillars and chrysalises. The Joy factor as you watch them grow and turn into Monarch butterflies is truly amazing. I raised 21butterflies last month. It is a perfect size to put the pot of milkweed in, and it is easy to clean. Great value for the money.
