The media could not be loaded. I needed feeders that were easy to clean and also bleach because of a terrible viral disease that appeared among our house finches, and the feeders needed to be done twice weekly. I had tray feeders and tube feeders and they were all either a lot of work to take apart, or they were wood and not able to be properly sanitized. I was so happy to find these! They're larger than other tray feeders of this type available - large enough for cardinals and woodpeckers. They are super easy to clean and sanitize. And the birds really, really love them!! They drain well when it rains, and because I clean them twice weekly, wet seed doesn't become a problem. When it snows I just scoop the snow off the top. They're very sturdy. I've seen as many as 12-14 birds on one at one time!! I've added caribbeaners to the tops to make them easier to hang. I've just purchased another set, which makes 8...so far! And they're so affordable. I think I've become the most popular bird lady in the neighborhood ;)Update: This product changed shortly after my first order, so I received a different product for my second order. I've added a photo to show the first on the left and the second on the right. The finish is faded and chipped on the left but that's because it's the version I use all the time. The second version has a cheap chain that rusted immediately verses the stainless steel rope of the original that's still in good shape. This company offers an upgraded version now that has the stainless steel rope. I'd recommend looking for that one. That said, both versions are still the most popular bird feeders I have out there!

This feeder has been a joy! The birds love it! So far, visitors to this feeder include a red-bellied woodpecker, northern cardinals, tufted t-tmouse, carolina wren, carolina chickadee, mockingbird, white-throated sparrow, house finches, mourning dove, starling, and song sparrows. It's super easy to clean and I love that I can just lift out the tray without having to take off the bracket. Be advised that the round part of the screw that goes on the underside of the railing is not flush with the edge of the bracket, so you do need a deep lip to the railing. Mine wasn't, so I had to improvise with zip ties. So far the feeder has weathered torrential rain and winds with no issues.

This item is super simple to install and quite sturdy. I was worried that small birdseed would fall through the mesh baskets, but the openings are very small so even the smallest seed stays in the basket. Yesterday we had 4 blackbirds on the feeder at the same time, so the size is very generous.

The media could not be loaded. It's lightweight, and the mesh is sized well for sunflower seeds and peanuts. The holes may be a bit big for small bird seed bits, but that's not an issue for me. I also really like that the bowl can come out for easy cleaning.It's a little deep for the smaller birds, but I think in time they'll figure it out. I bought this so the larger birds would have a place to get seedsI'd recommend it!

Perfect size. I fill it with black oil sunflower seeds. Brings the birds to the yard!

All of my wildlife friends visit this all day long, and some at night. It's very sturdy and attractive to look at.
