Installation was relatively straightforward with the full tool kit and the instruction sheet which I supplemented with a good youtube video by Geardo. The phone's internal bracket is held down by 7 screws in 3 different lengths; a nice instruction sheet touch is that it has a color code to help indicate which screws go back in which holes. The battery adhesive strips are too long and require a knife or scissors to trim back, but that's not a big deal. The kit also came with a dark blue vinyl sheet about the size of the phone; I never figured out what that was for. The battery came mostly charged and works perfectly so far. Note that this kit does NOT include the screen adhesive that really should be used to secure the screen and help restore water resistance; a tube of common T-7000 type adhesive will cost another $5 or so.

Had high hopes for the product. Things started well, then crashed and burned. Installation went fine and battery initially charged ok. Phone worked fine for two days. After that, there was a day or two where the battery lasted a couple of hous before needing to be plugged in. After that, nothing. Phone wouldn't even charge. Don't waste your money.

So far so good, kit came with all parts needed for a battery replacement for Pixel 4a. I will update if the battery fails at some point. I should note I did not use the included instructions and instead used a video on youtube for a step by step guide and I recommend you do the same. The video by iDoctor UK was very helpful and he even helps remind you what screws go where.The replacement process itself is rather difficult and I wouldn't recommend for anyone who hasn't done a battery replacement before or isn't familiar with electronics. You have to be very delicate removing the screen.

Everyone who warned about the screen being thin is right! I spent an hour being extremely gentle with the swap. Thanks for the tips via comments here, and the online guide (ifixit).The included screen adhesive was difficult to maneuver into place, but I made it work. Since I didn't have it at the edges, I had to snip the final bubble arch to let it lay flat. After pressing closed, I heated it up again to let the adhesive relax and I pressed it (face-down on a silicone mat) again while it cooled.The battery lasts all day again, rather than 4 hours. (Health was around 30% before starting.)

This product was touted as easy to install if the instructions were followed. Instructions were followed closely and it was far from easy. Although the screen was removed very carefully by a professional cell phone repair person, it broke, leaving me without a phone for a week. Had to order a $175 screen replacement. !! Meanwhile, I am without a phone and due to all the complications the return window has passed. Do not try to replace a pixel 4a battery! A full refund would be appreciated.

This battery was a perfect fit for the Pixel 4a. I was worried because of the price that this wasn't going to be good quality but after a week the battery is still running great. Inside the package had an illustrated page with instructions that were detailed, easy to read, and accurate. It was easier to swap batteries than I could have imagined. This is a good product. I would buy it again.

Ok battery life. I don't think it as good as the original, but I don't have to buy a new phone.

This is a complete kit and more. Good tools and helpful instructions... (should be supplemented with on-line videos) Read instructions completely before starting for a better outcome. My Pixel 4a took approximately 1 hour to successfully complete. Use good lighting and a clean flat workspace to make your experience easier.
