Sturdy, compact, multifunctional barrel and code for free brew kit to start you
This is a smart-looking, neat, compact home brewing station. It’s an easy starting point, seems well-made, and allows home brewing in a compact area with less fuss and mess than a brew bucket system and separate bottling.I really liked the fact that this comes in bright colours (red is generally my favourite colour, though I thought the bright blue version was quite appealing too) but in the end opted for the more neutral grey version since this goes with pretty much everything. The exclamation mark style handle is definitely a bold and distinctive look. The neat plastic barrel is both brewing bucket and tapped keg. The 10 pint capacity is designed to be capable of fitting in a fridge - though, frankly, since this occupies most of a deep shelf in our American-style fridge freezer it seems too sizeable to keep in the fridge unless you’re a small household or have a separate fridge for drinks. You can buy a second barrel part (a Co-Pinter), so that one can be brewing whilst the other is in use, though at £69 it’s not a small extra.Although this is a straightforward system, it’s not ready to use directly from the box. The Pinter 3 isn’t designed for home brewing from scratch, it’s only meant to be used with bespoke Fresh Press flavour sets. You need something to brew in it, and no brew kit is included. There is instead a leaflet with a QR code to register your Pinter 3 on the manufacturer website and a voucher code for a free Fresh Press flavour kit to get you started with your first 10 pints. You do have to pay postage, but single packs are designed to fit through a letterbox, so it’s not extortionate. Packs seem to be between £17.99 and £22.Despite it being a bit of a pity not to be able to get going immediately, I like the fact that this gives you (even when first starting out) a choice of what to brew - and by ordering in this way you do know that you’re getting a fresh kit and not one that has been sitting round in a box for months. The downside is having to wait for your first delivery before you can start using your Pinter 3. The leaflet describing the available options talked about there being over 20 award winning flavours to choose from - but when I visited the website only 19 flavours were listed, 7 of which were out of stock.

Simple to use and produces great beer and cider
Firstly, the Pinter is fool proof. Supported by an app which guides you through the prep, mix, brew, and conditioning process. It also has a timing/calendar function to ensure you get the timings right. A great little product, perfect for the summer.

Best craft beer I've ever had!
The unit itself is super slick and pleasing and the app makes the process a breeze. I tap off a glass almost every time I walk past. 10/10!

Easy to use and makes great beer
I've been using Pinter's for 2 years and the P3 is the best version yet. Customer service is excellent and the beer/cider range is huge.
