This deal comes with both a large front canister and two side filters. I only bought this for fire emergency. I have no insurance and I live under a huge oak tree so my bedroom has an extinguisher, a battery powered saw, an axe and this mask. I have better chances of controlling a fire in my home with this mask and extinguishers and my three garden hoses ready to go. I can also be of help to a neighbor who has a fire by being prepared.The strap system and mesh back panel makes for fast adjustments of the fit by feel. I keep this by my bed in the original box with all 3 plugs in place on the mask - I would probably use the single canister first and I practiced so I can do this by feel in the dark. Once you can breathe and not have blinding smoke in your eyes, you can do more until help arrives. I would put this on before calling 911 if any smoke was present.It is also there in case I spill chemicals or have a very dusty project to do.

Pros: When I bought this mask, I thought it would either be too small or too loose for me; and thankfully it's adjustable so now I don't have to worry about it being too tight or too loose when placing it on. Its quality is quite decent and is not too hard to breathe in, even without the filter installed.Cons: as for cons, you will find that it will have a rather odd odor coming off it when you first open its packaging and that there are very faint to visible traces of condensation or foggy outline on the material itself though these can be washable and cleaned easily.

Used this to deploy ClO₂ gas treatments and it worked perfectly. Kept us safe, was able to breath and didn't get hot.

This was a great mask!!!! I used this as a respirator and face shield at my grinding stations at work. It is also useful as a gas mask for welding and brazing, I just put cardboard on the inside and a number 4 pair of glasses, both fit fine inside the mask.

I purchased the single side canister mask with the individual eye windows. It's a similar design to the M40/M42 that I was used to.After fitting, the mask passed a quick seal test although didn't have banana oil to do a full test with the canister. As for the canister, it seems like a copy of the Israeli 40mm activated charcoal/cotton ones. I bought a couple extra to have on hand. The body of the mask and rubber/silicone head harness are not flimsy and should last. This version does not come with a drink tube like the M40. So, if you are in a persistent contaminated environment, you'll need to get clear prior to hydrating.If you are going to carry this mask, you might want to pick up a surplus M40 carrying case. The little cloth bag won't protect it.Overall, I would trust this mask and canister in a CS chamber or an area where tear gas has been deployed. If you're at risk of a nerve agent or other dangers, you shouldn't be looking at a $30 mask.

This mask has been fantastic for me. I have a small face and it fits me perfectly. So comfortable! Once it is on properly, you can forget about it. So much better then the half masks and the goggles I usually had to wear. I love that it did not fog at all in the 2 hours I was wearing it, even when I started sweating. I also appreciated the fact that I did not have to fashion the deep groove other masks leave on my face and you could wear prescription glasses if you wanted. Just make sure you loossen the straps all the way to put it on and take it off if you need to wear glasses What a dream! An excellent tool!!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is not a gas mask as advertised. The box reads "...for spray painting and organic vapours (their spelling, not mine) of low toxicity." the label on the box which reads "Made In China" says this mask is for "sanding."The products box also arrived open and damaged. It was shipped in a large brown envelope rather than a sturdy box. Amazon got me, once again.
