Excellent value trainset compared to expensive established brands if you just want a simple trainset. USB charging cable supplied but you will need a plug adaptor to charge the tender which took about 3 hours for the initial charge. I just wish there was an option to buy additional track, but overall I'm very pleased with this purchase. The quality is very good for the price.

After having to return a faulty model from a different make (the Lionel Polar Express one) I was hesitant about this one as it looked as though the only decent train sets are the Hornby models which are completely unaffordable. How wrong I was - this model is fantastic!! I’m so pleased with it, it’s super easy to set up and works perfectly. The steam function and interior carriage lights really make it that bit better than all the others on the market in this price range. I’m so happy with it - I’ve wanted one of these my entire life so I feel like a big kid now with my train set around the Xmas tree!

I bought this for our family Christmas . The previous one broke quickly . It was easy to set up and charge and works very well (great to be able to charge rather than battery usage ) . Having a remote means the children don’t have to keep lifting the carriages on and off the tracks - they only just fit . The carriages are a bit flimsy but the engine is good . The plastic dinosaurs are an odd addition . However time will tell how it goes down with the children . It is thankfully not too noisy. I am pleased with it so far .

The media could not be loaded. The steam engine is metal - the carriages are plastic but it's all well made. When you press the start button it makes proper train starting noises and steam comes out of the funnel, which is a hoot. We got it for our Christmas tree and it's perfect for that. Switching on the carriage lights is a bit fiddly but when it's all lit up and running it's very entertaining. Recharging is via a supplied USB connection (you need a plug though) and the charge seems to be lasting well. All in all a great choice of train. It helps that the sound effects aren't deafening, too!

Very unhappy with this train set and feel like it was not worth the £70 I paid for it. More like £30 at the very most. The tracks are made of poor quality cheap plastic which is a big disappointment. It was also missing several black clips to put the track together, meaning that two parts of the train track can't be assembled to the rest of the track. Battery performance is also terrible, running out in no time at all ,which is very frustrating. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this train set to anyone ,as it is simply not worth the money that I paid for it.

This is ideal since the tracks able to be made up in a circle small enough for around Christmas tree.You'll notice in video I only have one passanger carriage attached, this is because feel two looks a bit too long..Sounds, steam look and sound great.. Good quality.. A wee bit footery getting on track due to my opting to have circle which means no straight track.. Would've loved remote control as it knocks off track when holding engine to depress on /off switch however that aside it's fab and still gets 5 stars from me..A great addition for festive villages around our tree... Such fun!!

Doesn't smoke much which was quite disappointing on the child's birthday but was still good as an electronic train
