I had previously tried to use an after-market "clip on" style mirror over the original mirror (which was showing signs of age - the silver backing was coming off, resulting in very visible blotches appearing in the mirror - which this didn't effect the overall function, it was unsightly. The clip-on mirrors were all too large and didnt fit well (interfered with the use of the sun-visors on both the driver & passenger side). This one was a better size fit to my vehicle (2008 Mazda 6 sedan). A hex-style screwdriver/allen wrench is needed to unscrew the mirror from the mount (which was not included) ... and no adhesive was included to mount this to the glass. Thankfully, it easily mounted on the original bracket/mount from the mirror it replaced, so I did not need to purchase any adhesive (nor figure out how to remove the original adhesive/mount from the glass). Installation was very quick & easy on the old mount. Visibility in the mirror is comparable to the original - no noticeable difference. A good purchase.

2010 Chevrolet Express. This mirror and was compatible with the OEM window mount glued to the glass. So it was a very simple job to remove the old and put on the new. No glue needed for me.Now, the technically, the screw size is a Torx T20. You could probably make an allen-key work, but you'll need to snug it down one way or another, or you will absolutely have vibration.Anyway, full marks for ease of install. If it doesn't last, or has problems, I'll update accordingly.

Replaced a rear view mirror with severe de-silvering. This mirror fit the OEM window mount and was the same width. No real complaints.

I've bought 4 other mirrors for my jeep and all of them were either a weird shape, night/day switch didn't work or something just wasn't right. This mirror is perfect, works as it should, nice shape etc.... Bought another one for the mustang just now to replace the old one. Perfect.

The photo is the first one I received. It had cloudy areas under the glass. I had given it one star originally because of that.It turned out though, that the other brand mirror I bought would not stay tight, I even exchanged it and tried another. This one did stay tight, so I ordered a replacement. (I am using the anchor already attached to my windshield.)The mirror is fine on this one. I'm hoping it stays tight like the one with the defective mirror did.I like that they use a Torx head on the lock screw. It looks more OEM than Phillips. It appears also that there may be some thread locker on the threads. (There is some blue visible.) Of note also is that the tip of the screw is pointed. I think that's a good design to lock it in better.It would be good if they included a little T-20 tool. (That is the size torx needed.)Final thought is about the size. I think this one is perfect. The other brand was 10.6 inches and it was just needless. This one views the entire rear window of my 2006 Ford Focus. The other larger one was just taking up important view space out my windshield.

I have a Chrysler 200 and works great with my car. Super sturdy.
